((Incoming Call From Liam))
Kevin, trying not to wake Sophie, reached one hand over her and picked up the phone, pressing it to his ear and softly whispering, "Hello?"
"Kevin?" Liam called out. "Where's Sophie?"
"Right here," Kevin answered, putting the phone slightly close to Sophie so Liam could hear her quiet snores. "Are you here?"
"Yeah, I'm sitting in the driveway," Liam answered. "I just have to get my sneakers. They're by the back door."
"I'll grab them for you on the way out. I gotta leave anyway," Kevin told him, slowly rolling Sophie over so he could slip out of her bed.
"That's okay, I can just come get them," Liam said, sounding a little concerned. Kevin stood up, grabbing his keys off of Sophie's dresser and sneaking one last peek at her.
"Don't worry about it, I'm already on my way down. See you in a second."
Kevin hung up the phone and placed it back where he had taken it from before kissing Sophie's head and leaving the room.
He ran to the back door and grabbed Liam's shoes, making his way to the front door to put on his own. He ran into Chris on the way there in the hallway.
"Leaving?" Chris asked. Kevin nodded.
"Yeah I'll never hear the end of it from my parents if I stay over. They'll be asking me questions until next week."
Chris chuckled, nodding. "You're saving yourself from our dad too. I'll see you around, man." They shook hands like good friends and then Kevin walked out.
Liam was standing outside of one of the cars in the driveway, awkwardly blocking the driver's side window. Kevin smiled at him and brought his shoes over, holding them out for Liam to take.
"Ahh, thank you so much!" Liam exclaimed. "What time did Sophie fall asleep?"
Kevin looked down at his phone, which read, '10:24'.
"About quarter to," he replied. Liam nodded, shifting slightly to reveal someone sitting in the driver's seat of the car. Kevin looked down, trying to make out the face. Liam's eyes widened as he realized where Kevin was looking.
"Well, I'm gonna go now, it was nice hanging out with you guys. See you around!!" Liam had a huge smile on his face and said his goodbyes but did not move from his position, making Kevin even more confused than he already was.
"Okay...See you around."
Kevin spun on his heels, furrowing his eyebrows as he walked to his car that was parked in front of the house. He stepped inside and started the car before he realized that he had left his bathing suit inside. He pursed his lips for a second, debating on whether or not he was going to head back inside.
He ultimately decided against it, and made his way back to his own house. Liam waited a little bit longer before changing his position and walking to the passenger side of the car and getting inside.
He sighed, putting his seatbelt on.
"You know, we could have handled that situation like mature adults and just had a conversation."
Liam looked over at his cousin, shaking his head.
"I don't want to take any chances," he replied. "Sophie's really happy with him. I don't want her to hear that I was with you so you ended up talking to him. It might make her uncomfortable."
"You just don't want her to get mad at you," Lacy replied with an eye roll. Liam shrugged. "It's fine. Let's go back to my house. Jack's waiting for me."
Liam nodded and leaned back in the seat as his cousin pulled out of the driveway.

Sophie rolled onto her back, taking a deep breath that turned into a snore, making her jump slightly. She opened her eyes and stared at the ceiling for a few seconds before grabbing her phone off of the bedside table when she realized there was nobody in the bed with her.
Sophie
Did you leave without saying goodbye or was I just half asleep? The Moon Boy
You need the sleep. I kissed you before I left.Sophie
You could've stayed...The Moon Boy
Nah it's better that I didn't. Also, Liam was acting super weird when I gave him his shoes on the way out, maybe check on him in the morning?Sophie
Liam's always weird.Sophie
But I'll check on him.The Moon Boy
Okay, go back to sleep now babe it's late.Sophie
Then you have to too. There's no reason for you to be up past 1 am.The Moon Boy
I was too busy thinkin about you.Sophie
Lmaoo as if. I know you're just up watching old Destiny's Child music videos. Get some sleep. The Moon Boy
Yes ma'am:)Sophie put her phone down with a smile, rolling back over so she could go back to sleep.
Kevin, on the other hand, didn't go to sleep when he put his phone down. He stared at his ceiling, taking note of the shadow his dresser made when the light hit it.
The only thing he could think about was Sophie. He was tired, but he wasn't quite ready to close his eyes. He laid in his bed with a small smile on his face, remembering the way that she threw her whole body into the air when trying to hit the volleyball in the pool.
He remembered the way she leaned into him when they were laying in her bed. He closed his eyes, imagining the warmth that he felt when he was with her.
Butterflies filled his stomach, and he let out a deep breath as her smile filled his thoughts. He opened his eyes back up, intertwining his fingers across his stomach.
He smiled once more, letting out a small chuckle over how he was acting. He reached over to his bedside table and turned off the lamp, laying his head down on the pillow.
He closed his eyes, letting out a whispered, "Goodnight Soph, I love you."
