"Hurry up!!" Sophie yelled into her phone.

"I'm literally a block away why don't you relax a little bit." Liam rolled his eyes, hanging up the phone before turning onto Sophie's street. He pulled into her driveway and made his way into the house, not bothering to knock.

"Hey Chris." Liam waved to Sophie's brother as he passed by the living room. "How bad is it?"

Chris turned his head and opened his mouth to speak, only to be cut off by the sound of a teenage girl's scream.

"UGH WHY CAN'T I FIND ANYTHING TO WEAR?" Sophie shrieked at the top of her lungs. Chris raised his eyebrows.

"Good luck," he said, turning his attention back to the show he was watching. Liam nodded and let out a breath as he made his way upstairs. He stood at the top of the stairs, peering into Sophie's room. She was standing in front of her closet, groaning and stomping her feet like a toddler.

"Your savior has arrived," Liam spoke, holding out the dress in his hands to Sophie. "It's my cousin's dress from when she was dating that really rich guy. She has plenty of them, so whenever you need one just let me know."

Sophie looked at Liam and then closed her eyes, releasing a calming breath. "You are a life saver," she told him while opening her eyes. He smiled and handed her the dress.

"Put it on," he said. She nodded and took the dress from his hands, stripping her clothes while Liam shut the door and sat on her bed, facing the opposite direction.

"Zip me up?" Sophie called out. Liam spun on the bed and reached over to zip the back of the dress, both of them surprised when the dress fit perfectly.

Sophie looked in the mirror and swallowed hard. The dress was gold, slim fitting with very thin straps on her shoulders and a slit down her leg.

"Your cousin doesn't want this dress?" Sophie asked. Liam shook his head.

"Gives her bad memories."

"What ever happened with her and that guy?"

"He basically said she was too poor for him and couldn't fit in with his rich friends. It's whatever, she's over it now and dating someone better. I wish I could beat that asshole up. I'm not even sure who he is though."

"Poor Lacy." Sophie frowned. Liam shrugged.

"Don't feel too sorry. Her boyfriend's hot now."

Sophie chuckled and nodded. "Okay." There was a pause and Sophie bit her lip. "Wanna help me do my hair?"

"Of course!" Liam exclaimed.

After another hour or so, Sophie was ready to go. Her hair was curled, one half pulled back with a few bobby pins, leaving her neck and face exposed, showing her beauty.

Liam had left a few minutes before her, leaving her to stare at herself in the mirror for an excessively long time, pointing out all of her flaws in her head. She shook off the feeling weighing her down and walked out of her room, grabbing her purse from her dresser on the way out.

"Chris, I'm leaving. Tell mom and dad that I'll be home kinda late," Sophie called out to her brother on the way down the stairs.

"Got it. Have fun."

"Thanks!" Sophie shut the front door, unlocking her car as she made her way around the front lawn, not wanting her heels to stick into the grass.

She stepped in the car carefully and drove very slowly to Kevin's house, trying not to get her heels caught underneath the pedals. She pulled onto Kevin's street, seeing his mom standing outside in a long black dress and a fur coat.

She waved at Sophie and gestured her to pull into the driveway. As she stepped out of the car, Mrs. Moon audibly gasped, making Sophie jump.

"What? What?" Sophie asked, looking down at herself to check for something wrong.

"No, I'm sorry sweetie," Mrs. Moon spoke with a chuckle. "You just look so beautiful I was really shocked when you got out of the car."

Sophie laughed, feeling extremely flattered by Mrs. Moon's kind words. Before she knew it, she was being pulled into a hug, one that made her heart very full.

"IS SHE HERE?" were the next words that Sophie heard, and she turned to see Kevin running out of the house in a black suit, looking so good he made Sophie's breath hitch.

Kevin stopped at the top step, staring at Sophie with his jaw dropped. She smiled and walked to the steps with Mrs. Moon, Kevin not taking his eyes off of Sophie the whole time.

"You look amazing," Sophie said, looking at Kevin with a faint smile on her lips.

"You look..." Kevin's voice trailed off as he swallowed hard, shaking his head in awe at his girlfriend. "Incredible. Absolutely stunning. You are hands down the most beautiful girl I have ever seen in my life."

Mrs. Moon smiled, clutching at her chest as she slipped past Kevin and into the house to give them some privacy. Sophie's cheeks turned a light shade of pink, Kevin's compliment flustering her.

"You're making me blush," she said with an awkward chuckle. She made her way up the two steps to where Kevin stood, now with his hands on her hips.

"You deserve to be showered in compliments. You're one of a kind, Sophie Taylor, I'll tell you that much," Kevin gawked. Sophie's stomach was doing flips, her heart pounding as he spoke.

"That makes two of us," she muttered. He smiled and leaned down to place a kiss on her lips.

"Come inside." Kevin took her hand and led her inside. It was weird, walking in as just his girlfriend and not the maid. She had no intentions of cleaning or looking around and thinking "oh, I have to get that spot next time". Tonight was for her and Kevin.
