It was mid summer and the days seemed to stretch on forever. Even so, by the time we left the car I could see the shadows of the dune grass stretch longer and longer over the red hues of the sand.

The sky was the clearest I had ever seen it and as the colours of the sky melted slowly into the deep embers of sunset I couldnt help but stand enthralled by the beauty.

"Beautiful isnt it."

I felt a pair of warm sturdy arms wrap around my waist and hold me tight as christ whispered into my ear. "I wish I could spend my life out here among the sand" he said. As his faces turned to look at me I noticed a trace of sadness in his eyes and he seemed more vulnerable then I had ever seen him.

"Yes. Its stunning" I replied, tearing my eyes away from the one thing that I found more stunning then the sunset.

We were the only people for miles around and the only sounds other than chris and I's breathing was the slight breeze against the grass and the gentle lapping of the water down on the beach.

I could live here forever
