'cause most girls never win if they're polite

Hina woke with a start, as a loud clatter sounded from beside her. She squeaked, her eyes taking in her surroundings.

Sun shone down on them, tall palm trees lined the streets as people wandered past ignored the group.

"What?" Hedge demanded. "Fight who? Where?"

"Falling!" Leo grabbed the table. "No—not falling. Where are we?"

Hina steadied a potted plant on the table, as the group all shot up in their seats.

Jason turned to Piper, his eyes widening, "What are you wearing?"

Piper's face went red. It was then Hina noticed Piper was no longer wearing the dirty clothes she had been wearing at Aeolus's. Instead, Piper had a turquoise dress on over top of leggings, with matching black leather boots. She looked gorgeous. Her hair had been neatly braided, and a delicate bracelet hung on her wrist.

"Wow, Piper," Hina giggled.

"It's nothing. It's my- it's nothing," Piper brushed them off, after taking a glance at herself in her dagger's blade.

Leo grinned, poking Hina's side. "Aphrodite strikes again, huh? You're gonna be the best dressed warrior in town, beauty queen."

Hina rolled her eyes, swatting his hand away, turning him to face his own reflection in the glass window.

"Hey, Leo. Look at yourself recently," Jason chuckled.

"What? Oh."

All of them had been given a makeover. Leo was wearing pinstriped pants, black leather shoes, a white collarless shirt with suspenders, and his tool belt, Ray-Ban sunglasses, and a porkpie hat.

Piper stifled a laugh. "God, Leo. I think my dad wore that to his last premiere, minus the tool belt."

"Hey, shut up!" Leo yelled, crossing his arms with a pout.

"You look fi-" Hina started before Hedge cut her off.

"I think he looks good," said Coach Hedge. "'Course, I look better."

The satyr was something out of a fashion designer's nightmares. He wore an over sized canary yellow coloured suit with matching two tone shoes to cover his hooves. To make things worse, Hedge had a broad-brimmed hat, a rose coloured shirt, paired with a baby blue tie, and a giant carnation in his lapel. Within seconds of spotting the flower, Coach Hedge had swallowed it.

"Don't worry, Ina, you look better than Coach," Leo reassured with a crooked grin.

As if sensing her panic, Piper passed her dagger over to Hina to allow the girl to see her reflection.

Hina sighed in relief. Her long blonde hair was pulled into a loose bun atop her head, and any trace of Aphrodite's meddling was absent from her face. She wore a light blue ruffled top with daisies patterned across. To match she had loose black jeans and sneakers, with a long grey jacket over top. Her small necklace in the shape of a sun rested around her neck, and a pair of pink sunglasses hung from her belt.

"You're mom's got pretty good taste, Pipes," Hina laughed, placing the sunglasses over her eyes to block out the sunlight shining down on them.

"Looks like she forgot me," Jason mused.

Across the table, Jason looked almost untouched by Aphrodite. He wore the same purple t-shirt and jeans that he wore on the bus, although, they did look a little cleaner. Thankfully, the goddess had also replaced Jason's runners, with new, unburnt ones.
