Maya walked into Abigail Adams and immediately it seemed different to her than last year.
Of course she was now taking it on by herself but that also did mean she would have to go through a lot of other stuff.
She smiles as she sees Yogi, Darby, Charlie and Sarah moving her way."Hey, guys. Junior year here we come," Maya said.
"We want to ask if you'll be apart of our group," Darby said.
"Why?" Maya asked.
"We could need another person and we think you are her," Charlie said.
"Of course. I would be more then happy to be apart of your group. But first I have Spanish. Meet you guys at lunch," Maya said and was off.~
Maya was sitting agt the bakery watching Ava while she tried to make it look like she had everything kinda under control.
The bakery was the one thing that could keep her busy for a very long time and for that it wasn't just keeping a business under r control but also watching a eight year old."Okay, Ava. Let's get your homework out. Your in third grade so perhaps I can help with that while the café is quiet," Maya said.
"I miss Auggie," Ava said.
"I know. But we can always try and figure out something that will make this worth your while. Get out your book," Maya said as she sat down next to Ava ready to help her with her homework."Your sister?" Charlie asked as he and the group walked into the café.
"No. I'm just babysitting her and the café for the day. My mom is twenty-eight weeks with my brother. How can I help you guys?" Maya asked.
"Wouod you want to hang out tomorrow?" Sarah asked.
"I would be more than happy to. I don't have any plans to look after her and my boyfriend only gets out of his classes at four. What were you guys thinking off?" Maya asked.
"Wait you have a boyfriend out of high school?" Darby asked.
"Josh is in his sophomore year of college. It's a three year difference," Maya said.
"Not that much," Charlie said.~
Maya was busy locking up the café when she saw Josh.
She smiled as she unlocked the door letting him in."So how was first day of junior year?" Josh asked a she gave Maya a pick on her lips.
"Good. Some of my classmates asked me to be in their group. It was pretty exciting knowing that. And I watched Ava and the café since my mom wa shaving a rough morning. I think this year is gonna be just fine," Maya said.
"I'm glad for you, Sweetheart," Josh said.
