It was a Friday afternoon and Maya was busy curling her hair. She didn't like doing too much with all of these dances but she did want to do something about her look. For the first time in forever or for the first time ever she was actually going to a dance with someone. She felt like that was something amazing and she was going with her boyfriend as well as ghe boy she fell in love with years ago. She smiles at herself as she puts the curling wand down and pulls her boots over her feet. She was feeling definitely a bit aware that she wasn't going to be seen as cool and she was making peace with that as well as the fact that her best friend isn't there.
"You have a date?" Shawn asked and Maya shook her head as she out on some earrings. "No. If you guys were to care you would know that it is fall dance tonight and that Josh is taking me. Is Mom asleep?" Maya asked. "Yeah. Thirty-three is big. Seven weeks left then baby bro is here. I hope you have fun," Shawn said as he left the room.
Maya shakes her head as she grabs her handbag and heads out of the apartment. She goes down the stairs and smiles as she sees Josh.
"Hey. Tell me it's all in my head when I say this baby has taken over our lives," Maya said and Josh shakes his head. "He really has en he's not even born yet. Everything will work out though. Maybe your parents are just worried about him being born early," Josh said and Maya shakes her head. "You look absolutely beautiful," Josh said giving Maya a kiss. "Thank you. Let's go," Maya said.
