Maya walked into the café realizing that her mother was still there even if she had to get off the clock.
Katy was now thirty weeks pregnant with baby boy and it truly did hurt to see how her mother wa struggling with a few of the simple things.
Maya smiled as she took the ragg from her mother immediately starting to sweep off the counters."Go home, Mom. I'll manage. Josh said he'll come help me since he literally has nothing to do," Maya said.
"You sure?" Katy asked.
"Katy go home. Before your daughter actually starts to worry. I'll help her," Josh said.
"Thank you," Katy said and was off."Thank you for helping. How was your day?" Maya asked.
"It was okay. I'm not saying it's easy doing college but it certainly it better than high school. I hated Science," Josh said and Maya smiled.
"Yeah, makes both of us. All my middle school classes I actually hated. How come this year it is getting easier to go to school?" Maya asked.
"Because you have classes you enjoy," Josh said.
"Listen I was wondering if you would go with me to the fall dance. It's October, 13th," Maya said.
"Yeah, of course. It will actually be nice seeing how you New Yorkers do it here," Josh said.
"Yeah, let's hope my mother is okay with it these days she has been acting weird. But I think it is because of the early labor scare we had last week," Maya said.
