Sing sweet birdy outside the glass
to the tunes of the carbon emissions that pass
Hum to the trees that were once your home
to the filthy rivers beside which you used to roam
Sing until your screams turn to whispers and then to nought
Because when we see you fall as the fallen did
At least you warned us, at least you fought.
