And when I look at you
I just feel the pain
Of looking out the window
Pulling my hand away
Apologising profusely
Trying to end my words
But being distracted by the sky
the hum and chirp of birds
I hate me when I'm with you
But I'll stick around for a bit
Even if it means looking
Anywhere but the place you sit.
I'll keep out if your way in the halls
I'll shut up when you talk
I'll laugh at your jokes
But never enough to gawk.
And you'll just keep saying nothing
While I stumble around blind
And I'll keep looking for nothing
You'll keep being nothing but kind.
