A face flushed by bitterness
smile strung like embroidery
fingers wrapped around each other
searching for something that isn't
here anymore. You look into my eyes
and I look into yours and all I can find
is unanswered questions and locked doors.
Won't you let me in now? It's been a while.
And then you leave, and so does my smile.
