I saw him once, beside me
in the spirit of my room
I gazed upon his handsome face
eyes filled with flecks of doom
He never said a word though
Kept his lips sewn shut tight
But he certainly saw my tears
Heard my cries that night
I begged him for it to be done
To let the pain just fade away
He simply shook his head
As if there was nothing left to say
Arms wrapped around my chest
He left me with my sorrow
But I thanked him anyway
That I'd see the light tomorrow
I've seen him seldom since
Only when I really suffer
But I know him as my hero
You may call him lucifer.
