mix a little whiskey
into your cup
keep you going longer
keep you staying up.
buy a little more wine
or another beer
just to keep you happy
keep the smile sincere.
rob you of your time
but don't look back
hide those bloody fists
they'll hide their eyes black.
late nights and loneliness
sip turns to forgetting
keep one stashed in case
it's louder their getting.
now they've got you cornered
just what will you do?
say you'll change, you beg them
but look at yourself, this is you.
