Chapter 36 ~ False Talk

*Lauren's POV*

"Isn't it lovely! The childhood friends reuniting its so cute!" My mom gushed but I still couldn't believe it. Selenas brown piercing eyes shone with pure evil along with a smirk that crossed her face.

"I missed you so much Michelle!" She falsely giggled and hugged me. She squeezed me hard in purpose and I winced. "What are you doing here!?" I whispered. "Shut up, I'm pretty sure your parents don't know that Logan was your only boyfriend." She referred to Zayn and let go with a wink.

I wanted to push her out of my house, lock the door and I just wanted her to leave because I would explode then and there.

"You know what girls we will leave you two alone for a while so you girls can catch up while we get dinner ready. CHRIS , TAYLOR COME HELP!" And they left.

"Nice house Lauren."

"Get out right now." I said sternly.

"Why? So I can leave you without getting my revenge for stealing him," she pulled a chair and sat down with her arms crossed and the most stern face ever. "What are you talking about, who's him?"

"Zayn you idiot! Didn't he tell you? I thought you two were open to each other that you two didn't hide things from one another."

"What?" I asked as my heart beat increased, it sounded like a sledgehammer pounding against my heart.

"Hmm let's do this easy for Lauren yeah? While you were a loner back in Miami and I moved Zayn and I dated,"no no no this isn't true this did not happen, let me block it out of my head, I can't hear her! "Zayn and I dated for let's say three years. We did everything, dates, kisses and went all the way. We broke up for some stupid reason and along came the girl I wanted to stay as far from possible." Tears poked my eyes wanting to fall but I bit my lip to prevent it.

"And he fell for her, he wanted to get back with me but I said no just to see how far this little crush he had on you lasted. You two dated and well I can't let you steal my man, so what I'm trying to say here is stay away.

Lauren I will not hesitate to tear you apart and take away every single thing you love. So what I'm saying is stay away. Ignore him completely as if he does not exist. And I am positive that he will be stupid enough to ask you to prom and you are going to say this one easy, life saving word, no. What are you going to say?"

I knew if I shouldn't follow Selena's orders i would most likely regret it. She managed to take away the best relationship we had, she managed to take away all the friends I had, but that wasn't the part that caught my attention.

It was Zayn. How could he hide that, we never had secrets between us. But maybe he did have his own reasons, I don't even know what to feel anymore.

"I can't hear you! What are you going to say when he asks you to prom Lauren?" She asked as she annoyingly crossed her arms. "No."

"I can't hear it!" Well me neither since my heart is beating so loud! "No." I said, "good girl."

"Hope you're hungry Selena because dinner is ready." Mom said walking out from the kitchen. "Of course I am! After all you are such an incredible cook!"

"Awe you're too much Sel," mom don't you see I'm not speaking or even cracking a smile? You focus on her? Can't you see I'm hurting....

"So Lauren uh your friend Dinah called up, she said the girls are headed to go buy their dresses on Saturday and they wanted to know if you're going." Taylor informed as she served herself water. I felt a kick on my shin and I held back a slight groan of pain.

"I don't know mom everyone at school are um morons." I looked over at Selena who had a pleased smile. "I know a gentleman who will take care of Lauren actually," Selena smiled.

"Oh really?" Dad asked. My head turned to Selena who looked at me with the worst possible smile she could give. Please don't do it, I begged inside my head as I shook my head.

"Yeah his name is Zach Malkin were good friends and I'm sure Selena has met him before. I promise I will keep an eye on her."

"Zach Malkin? The name sounds like this boy from Miami." Chris wandered. "Good thing that Zayn boy stayed in Miami away from my little girl eyy?" Dad smiled.

"Zayn Malik you mean? Actually he moved to California about some years ago and he goes to Blissenfield High School, Lauren you haven't told Mike?" And faster than you can blink everyone's eyes were on me. "Oops?"

"Lauren does he hurt you? Have you talked? Where does he live? He hasn't laid a finger on you right? Someone's gonna die tonight... Lauren respond! How come you never told us? You haven't told them?" All of those questions danced around as I didn't know what to do. Do they seriously believe in Selenas false talk?

"In fact that girl.... what was her name Dinah! Dinah Jean tried to make Lauren date that bastard, but she's so lucky to have me I warned Lauren and took her out of the pickle she was gonna get into. And the others... uh Allysen, Camilla, and Normini were in the plan too. You would not believe what they do to her."

"Lauren how come you've never told us this?" Mom asked, because it's not true that's why! But I didn't have the guts to answer and dad answered with his fork clashing on the glass plate.

"LAUREN I DONT WANT YOU GOING TO THAT DANCE BECAUSE I KNOW ZAYN WILL BE THERE AND I DONT WANT YOU HANGING OUT WITH THOSE TROUBLE GIRLS, I WILL CALL THEIR PARENTS THIS INSTANT!"

A/N: Next update will be this week, y'all weren't so active on my last chapter did you not like it? Okay well enough of that... I UPDATED Yayy?

So Lauren is now banned from prom as well from hanging out with the rest of the gals. ):

But things will get better I promise. Woah so many promises here and there.

Logan hasn't been mentioned in the story since forever (that's what I feel haha) so he will make a reappearance!!

QOTC: What do you think Selena has planned out, and do you think Logan is a part of this as well? Will he do something good or bad?

Also I want to clarify that again, I do not hate Selena I just needed someone to play this character, I MIGHT write another story and she won't be bad..... still thinking about that though.
