Chapter 38 ~ PROM; part1

*Lauren's POV*

It's Friday already and girls all over my school have been gushing about prom which is tonight. They were already talking about make up and hair do's. Today just wasn't my day since I wouldn't be allowed to go, and didn't have a date.

"We're so sorry you can't go Lolo," Camila said that to me earlier in the morning. Which made me sadder.

"How about we rent us some movies and watch them as we eat ice cream!" Mom approached me. I looked up at her, my hand supporting my head, and shook my head. "Okay, then what do you want to do?"

"Go have fun with my friends." She sighed and sat down, covering herself with the Lizzie McGuire blanket Taylor owned. "We can clean up the house you know.. clean the garage, empty out the attic.."

"With those jolly fun activities I rather go to my room and sleep with Dash." I patted my knee and Dashie followed me to my room where I could probably mourn for the night. I turned on my phone to display the time, 6:23 pm.

I locked my door and layed down on the bed. I heard my dad's car park in front of our house and I sighed. The sound of him greeting my mom downstairs blurred when I heard something hit my window

Tap. I furrowed my eyebrows and walked to my door that lead to a small balcony. But now instead of a simple tap, I heard a knock. What the-

"Lauren." Someone whispered.

I approached the balcony doors and put aside the thin white curtain that covered it. My heart literally skipped a beat with surprise, because who would be in my second floor balcony door at the night of prom. I hadn't even talked to him, and the last time I did I made him cry.

"Hi." I said and opened the door for him to come in. "C'mon let's go." Logan said stretching out his hand.

"No are you insane! Where are we going?" I whispered. Logan sighed and grabbed my hand. "I talked to your mom it should be alright, c'mon we have a surprise."

"What about my dad?" I questioned, pulling my hand away from his grip. "He won't notice you're gone, you are 'sleeping' after all..." he quickly jogged to my bed, pulled the covers, placed some pillows in a row and covered them. I smiled at the sight, they looked like I was sleeping there, cool.

"Where are we going?" I asked. He grabbed my arm and pulled me to the balcony, closing the doors. "Do you trust me?" He asked as Logan stared right into my eyes. "Y-yeah."

"Good, there's nothing to be afraid of." Logan simply said and tugged at my arm. He jumped over the balcony rail and griped tightly onto the strong growing vines. And before I knew it he was standing on the ground waiting for me to do the same.

I just don't want to regret this, I thought.

Slowly but surely, I copied all his steps. But I stoped when he said,"good now jump." Logan Lerman I will not jump while I am four feet above damn ground.

"Are you gonna catch me?"

"Yes, I won't let you fall. I promise." Okay. I'm ready, I just need a countdown. Fi- nope.... ten, nine, eight, seven, six.... I looked down and thought I am going to fall let's see how much it hurts yay. five, four, three, two, one in a half, one in a quarter-

"Lauren I won't let you fall,"you better not! ONE! and I let go of the vine, landing safely on Logan's extended arms. I closed my eyes and thanked the heavens.

Logan was looking at me with a smile on his face when I opened my eyes. "Let's go."

"Why again did you have to place the bandanna on my eyes." I may seem calm on the outside but inside, doubts are circulating my head.

"Because I know you hate surprises and will peek and that is going to ruin it for us." He explained.

"Who is us?" I heard him stop the car and open the door. Mine opened and I felt Logan's body go over mine, unbuckle my seatbelt and help me out. "You are about to find out..... kinda." Okay, I'm finding out.

I felt Logan next to me as I walked blindfolded and put my arm around his. I did not want to fall. "THEYRE HERE!"

"Dinah?" I asked confused yet enthusiastic. Logan's arm slipped from mine and I felt his hands untie the bandanna.

And sure enough, I was standing in front of Normani's house, Dinah in a white dress standing on the door frame with the biggest smirk, hands extended.

I ran to her arms and hugged her. "You look amazing! And not to ruin the moment but what am I doing here."

"You'll find out."

"Okay ladies, I'll see you soon. Goodbye Lauren,"he kissed ny cheek and hugged me. "Bye Dinah Jane." And he did the same, and waved.

Dinah closed the door and butterflies where fluttering madly in my stomach. I followed her down the hall, where she opened the door and my eyes wanted to water.

"Ohmygod." I said shocked. My vision turned a bit blurry and I knew if I said something else I would cry, but these tears would be happy ones.

Camila was holding a red stunning dress, Ally held the curling iron, Normani stood near the mirror where all sorts of make up was set and Dinah yelled," surprise!"

"W-what is this?"

"We wouldn't leave someone we love and go have fun at a dance, that's not what best friends do. Plus, it wouldn't be the same without you babe." Ally smiled.

"So, are ya going to stand there and cry or come get ready." Manibear grinned.

"How did you girls know what dress to get me?" I asked, my insides melting at this act of kindness.

"When we went to the mall I couldn't help but notice you staring at that dress. So I told the girls  and we decided to go buy it. After all its such a special night." Camz explained.

I walked up to her and draped an arm over her, using the other one to motion the girls to come. They all put everything down and came into a group hug.

What do I say? They always make me smile and make me feel a sort of way that makes my days a little brighter and,"you girls make my life so much better and thank you. I love you guys so much." I admitted.

"We love you too Lo," Dinah said. "Now c'mon we got someone's princess to doll up."

A/N: I hope you all had an amazing christmas. since it's late and can't be there to hug each and every one of you ill gift you an update. this is only part one, the chapter was too long to put into one chapter.
