Chapter 2 ~ New People

(A/N: She's still in school. Ok bye, enjoy!)

*Lauren's POV*
Lunch time, the most difficult part of school when you're a new student... like me. There were tables all around, with students eating and chatting. No space for new kids. My sweaty hands held the lunch tray. I just hope it doesn't slip from my grip.

I began to walk to a 'table' but honestly I was searching for some stairs or an empty corner. I passed by the lunch area aisles getting, you know the usual. Comments.

"Haha loner!"

"New girl can't find a seat!"

"There's a seat near the trash can!"

"Did you look at her shoes?"

"Eww"

I rolled my eyes. Can this get any worse? I took a look at my tray. Spinach and rice. Yuck, my brother can cook better.

I threw my trash away and grabbed my lunch bag. I speed walked to my usual place I eat. The restroom. It was empty so I sat down on the toilet and began to eat my sandwich. Yay. Note my sarcasm.

The bathroom was so quiet I could practically hear my own chews. I hate my life, im probably a mistake. I've never self harmed.... well once. That was in the past and I don't plan on doing it anymore.

Ring!! The bell rang. I got out of the stall, washed my hands and headed for my next class. And its my favorite of all, for now. Music. It's my escape from this cruel and horrifying world. I am a good singer, not to brag. But I sing in the shower and when I'm alone. I think everyone does.

I entered the room and I heard someone squeak. Camila. I think she considers me a friend. I looked around the room to share a gaze with Dinah.

"Hey! I couldn't find you during lunch. Where you hiding from me?" Camila pouted and began to giggle. She is so funny and has made me laugh since we met at first period. By the way Camila is in all my classes how cool is that! Exept homeroom.

"No. I just had to do... stuff." I said. Dinah walked to us and smiled. Wiggling her eyebrows.

"Lauren me and Mila want to introduce you to our friends!" Dinah said with happiness. My body tensed up and I felt like choking. What if their friends don't like me? Or if they don't want me around! See! I'm always thinking all the negatives!

"Oh yeah. We couldn't present you them because they sat so far away." Camila added.

"Hi I'm Allyson. But you can call me Ally. You know I sit in front of you in homeroom." She was so short and her hair reached almost her waist. Her glasses made her eyes pop out and she wore a neon shirt. Her skin was even perfect.

"Oh yeah. By the way I love your hair!" Umm did I just say that? Yup I did. Can I get any more weirder?

She began to giggle causing her little nose to cringe. "Haha thank you!" I shyly smiled at her as she flipped her hair playfully.

"Why so much giggling?" A girl said her dark hair reaching her elbow. She had a diamond braclet and beautiful smile. Woah there goes my insecurity.

"Oh this is Normani. Normani meet Lauren, Lauren meet Mani." Camila introduced us and Normani shook my hand.

"Nice I love your-" Normani couldn't finish as the teacher interrupted her. They seem nice... so far..

"Okay class. Welcome to music class! Here everything will be cool, all the music lovers! Okay so I am going to pair you up with a partner I want you to learn something about them. Just for a few minutes okay? Grab a piece of paper!" Mr. Johnson said. He passed around a bowl with folded pieces of papers.
