Over Three years later......

Finn had spent the last few years doing all the things he'd never gotten to do. He had taken them on trips but they had yet to go visit his family in their home. But, they spent time with Rebekah and Freya in Paris and Elijah when they went to New York. Time used to pass so slowly but when you're watching someone grow up everything seems fast. They had gone through a lot together.

Haydee grew up before they knew it. She was finishing her finals again. The school years seemed to get longer and longer. Finn was proud of every A she received and they even let her play sports. Quite the adept soccer player, Finn and Kriss enjoyed cheering her on at games. Her sixteenth birthday was in a month or so and Kriss explained how important it was. Followed by Rebekah's explanation and mandatory party planning.

It was going to be a catered event in their vast backyard. Haydee didn't have many friends but they invited the couple that she did. Finn sent out an invitation to all of his siblings. Rebekah and Elijah said they would come. Elijah met Haydee in New York and Finn thought he accepted her as much as he did Hope. Freya was coming too and bringing the woman she'd been dating for a bit. A woman she met after kidnapping her to finish the cure. Niklaus still planned to retake New Orleans and refused to leave Louisiana until he did. Hayley refused to let Hope come due to their history. Finn understood it was her child so it was her right.

Before the birthday party, there was one more large event that Finn had to live through. Haydee's first date. It was with a soccer-playing math nerd but Finn was still skeptical. Kriss kept having to talk him into it. Two days before the date and her last day of finals, Finn changed his mind again. "Uncle Finn, you can't do that," Haydee whined to him over dinner. She had settled on Uncle and Aunt over the years even though all three of them knew who they were at heart. Father, daughter, and mother. But, Haydee didn't want to offend her own mother so they were Aunt Kriss and Uncle Finn.

"I don't think it's a good idea. Something could happen to you," Finn told her. Haydee looked to Kriss to help.

"Finn, she'll be fine. We've talked about this for a week," Kriss told him and caressed his neck with her fingers, "Plus we get the house to ourselves at night. When does that ever happen?"

"Umm, eww. Child here," Haydee said and plugged her ears with her fingers.

"Exactly. Not the appropriate age for dating," Finn commented.

"No. I'm not a child. I'm your child and I would appreciate not having to know you're going to have sex when I'm gone," Finn wanted to blush at the words. One time in the past years that Haydee walked in on them and he wanted to die. They raced out of the kitchen with vamp speed while Haydee made loud gagging noises and complained her eyes needed to be removed. She even asked them to compel it away.

"Do you want to go or not?" Kriss asked Haydee out the side of her mouth and continued to caress Finn.

"Oh please? I already said yes. And we'll be home by eleven."

"Where is he taking you?"

"The aquarium then dinner."

"Great. Be home by nine-thirty," Finn said and picked up all the plates on the table.

"I'm almost sixteen. Ten thirty, please?" she pleaded. Finn didn't even have to look at her to know the puppy dog eyes were in full effect. It was the same look when she asked to go to Paris with Freya and Rebekah and when he got the credit card bill the month after.

"Did I just hear you say nine?" Finn asked as he cleaned the dishes. Haydee groaned.

"Ugh. Nine-thirty okay," she walked over to the sink and helped him dry. "But no mean Dad stuff. No interrogations, no compulsion, and no breaking bones during the handshake."
