Ellison Taylor

By the end of the week, the announcement was made officially in the company as well as to the world. Our sales and shares went up quickly when the announcements broke about who was taking over Taylor and the company. I haven't seen him after that meeting which I was glad about. What I heard was he is handling three company all at the same time and I wondered how he is going to do that, but then he was the one who agreed to take over this company, so he should have everything figured out.

Claire finally agreed to meet up Cooper and El and I was glad. It was a casual lunch which I was thankful about, I don't want to sit in some fine dine or expensive hotels and have to dress formally just for a lunch. They chose a family friendly place and I was able to dress in whatever way I wanted to, but making sure it was not too casual at the same time. They booked a small room, when Claire and I walked in. I saw both of them already sitting there and talking.

Cooper's mouth dropped opened as soon as his eyes went on Claire. She waved at them, confidently.

"We brought desserts for later." I said putting the bags down.

"That was not needed, but really appreciated." El said giving me a million dollar smile.

El and Cooper both have impressive work background. Cooper took over his family's aviation company and started an aviation school along with that. I didn't even know that the popular airline belonged to his family. While El is leading his family's business as a publisher and started a music company on his own.

They didn't bring the topic about Ian when they heard where I was working. Halfway through lunch, we heard the door opening and our server trying to stop someone from coming in. I turned around to see him wearing a dark blue shirt with black denim, dark jeans and adidas shoes. He looked handsome, his taste in fashion is as good as his look, too bad his personality is not that good.

Cooper and El looked flustered and stood up. "What are you doing here?" El asked Ian and stopped the woman from calling security.

"Well, I heard you two went for lunch without me, so I thought might as well give you a surprise." He said with sarcasm as he looked and when he saw me his eyes widened and he smiled. "What a beautiful surprise." He said pushing past his friends and came and stood in front of me. "You get more beautiful each time I see you." I glared at him.

He pulled the chair beside me and sat down.

"I think you should leave." El started.

"Why?" He asked as he looked at me with a challenging look. "Am I bothering someone?"

"It's fine." I shrugged. I might as well get use to seeing him because he is my boss now and every now and then we'll have to see each other.

"I'll have Alfredo." He said and Cooper presses the call button for assistance. It would have been easier to ignore him, but his stare was noticeable.

I was so glad when our lunch was over, but then Cooper brought up the dessert which I was hoping he would have skipped that.

"The cupcakes look so cute." Cooper said in awe as soon as he opened the box with mini cupcakes.

We had light conversation and every now and then Ian commented something and one time I almost snapped at him. When it was time to go I couldn't have been much happier.

"Thanks for coming." El said with a smile.

"It's nice to hang out again." I said.

"Then we should do it a lot often." Ian suggested and I glowered at him.

"We should get going." Claire said.

"Okay, see you." Cooper said. "We should hang out more often." He looked at Claire who nodded her head in agreement.

"That's what I said." Ian said and all of us ignored him. "I'll see you out." He said following Claire and I.

"Actually we need to have a talk." El said pulling him back from his jacket and I was grateful to El.

"We can talk when I come back." Ian said.

Cooper stood in front of him and waved us goodbye.

"He pretends like nothing happened." Claire said, sounding annoyed.

I shrugged. "If he thinks pretending will solve the problem then he is so damn wrong." I muttered.

"What's your plan after this?" She asked as we stood in the parking lot.

"I have a meeting to attend." I said.

"It's Saturday, c'mon." She said rolling her eyes.

"I know.. it's just two hours meeting then we can meet in the mall?"

"I'll be in the mall then." She said. "See you later." She said giving me a quick hug before getting to her car.

"See you." I said. I have to go home and get change quickly before heading out again.

The meeting was shorter than expected. The client was curious about our new Boss rather than the topic about our next project and it was annoying. Every single question was turned towards Ian, but at least we were able to sign a deal. I think it was quicker due to the fact that Ian was the new boss and he is kind of like a name brand that you can trust.

I was in my formal attire roaming in the mall searching for Claire.

"I'm in the Nike's store." She said as soon as she saw my call which was minutes later. For a moment I thought she will never reply or call back and I will have to shop alone. Someone pull me back and an arm went around my waist. I see him in front of me with a small smile.

"Hi." He said and I took a sharp breath. I feel myself falling for him again as I looked at him. His eyes twinkled with amusement and that brought me back to reality as I pushed him away.

"What is wrong with you?" I snapped at him. "What are you even doing here?"

"Well, I followed you." He said.

"Why?" I snapped angrily.

"Because I wanted to talk to you."

"What's there to talk about?" I glared at him. "You did enough.."

"I want a second chance, please." He pleaded.
