Ellison Taylor
"You can say that." Ian said amused.
"When did you join us?" Mr.Park asked curiously.
"A while back."
"You should join our night team. It's so much fun." He slapped Ian's back lightly and laughed. He wouldn't have did that if only he knew.
"Mr.Park." I was going to explain to him who Ian was but Ian interrupted.
"I'm Ian." He smiled with an amused look.
"I'm Alan Park." He said. "Why do all the good looking men works in the morning shift. Our night shifts complain about how our team looks compare to the morning."
"That's funny." Ian laughed. "Can I meet them?" He asked.
I was surprised by the sudden change in plan, but I like how Ian was making efforts to know his employees.
"Of course." Mr.Park said. "Women will be way too happy." And lead us towards the group of people who was busy typing furiously on the computer with headsets on. This department usual have to deal with online orders and deliveries and customer services.
They all look hardworking and seemed too tired to be here. They were not dressed as fancy as the morning staffs, but more towards the comfortable sides. Their room looks much more cute compare to our dull rooms. They have vending machines like all of us do, they also have a small X-box areas and a shelves filled with cute plushies.
"Mr.Park, we have a customer who wanted to talk to you." A woman who seemed younger to me said in a bored tone. She was wearing a glass bigger than her face and she has her hair tied in pig tail.
"Please show our guests around." Mr.Park asked as he excused himself.
"Welcome to the night shift." The woman said in a bored tone. "I know we don't look better than you guys."
"I think you guys look nice." Ian said clearly amused by the introduction. "This place is so different." And I know he was talking about the decorations.
"Thanks, I think we beat you guys when it comes to deco." She said. "Come, I'll introduce you guys to our coworkers." And she turned around.
"We didn't get your name?" I started.
"I'm Eleanor." She said.
"My name is Ellison and he is.." I looked at Ian.
"Ian." He answered.
"Very well, Ellison and Ian. It's nice to see you guys taking interest in our duties and If you guys plan to work with us in future, we will be more than glad to have you with us." She said. "I have been working with the same people for two years. We don't have new employees and when we do, they move to the day shifts."
"Must be frustrating?" Ian said.
"Yes and No." she said. "Since, we have small amount of people working at night, we are able to socialize with each other and treat each other like families."
"Beautiful." Ian said.
"We only have 10 people working at night that excludes the securities and the cleaning staffs." She said and started calling out names and pointing out people who was busy with headsets.
"Seems like a small group." I said. "Must be nice."
"At times yet, but we know each other for so long that we know what we will say next, it gets boring."
Mr.Park comes back. "All clear, Eleanor." He said. "She just wanted refund of the product."
"I see." Eleanor frowned.
"Well, you want to join us for dinner?" Mr.Park asked. "We were given money for our good job last month." He said proudly.
"I think we are good." Ian said. "It's your teams and your hard work."
"I agree with Ian." I said.
"We are in the same company." Mr.Park said. "We have the same goals. Please join us, we are ordering pizzas and fried chickens."
"Definitely join us." I think her name is Audrey. "At least for some change we have visitors." I don't know if it was sarcasm in her tone.
Ian looked at me, "We can if you want to." I shrugged.
"I'll make it up to you." He whispered.
"It's okay." I smiled a reassuring smile.
Mr.Park ordered everything through phone. "It will be here in half an hour. You are free to go around our department and relax a bit." He said.
Ian was very interested in the way they were working. "They are pretty good at their jobs. I have never actually been to Collins or E.T's online services and customer services department before. It's very amusing." He said in awe.
"Glad we came here." I said. "I have never actually spent much time with them. Always just greeted them before I leave when I work over time."
"They are pretty nice."
"They don't even know who you are..." I said.
"At least they don't know." He said. "Otherwise I don't think they will be inviting us to watch them work or to eat with them."
"They will be very surprised when they find out the truth."
"You think?" He was amused now. "I'm surprised they don't know who I am."
"Maybe we need to work on your popularity, sir." I joked.
"Ms.Taylor, You will hate my popularity when we start dating."
I gasped. "Ian." I scolded him and he laughed and I couldn't help but chuckled. He finds every possible way to flirt or comment something like that.
"The food is here." Mr.Park said. "We are going to get them from the lobby."
He and I think his name is Ashton walked to the elevator.
"Food is finally here, I'm starving." Eleanor squealed in delight. "Come over here." She called Ian and I forward. Mr. Park and Ashton comes back with bags of foods and pizzas boxes and laid them on the long table. There were lots of different soda and water bottles with the order. All of them gathered in excitement. It was their time to have a little conversation and ask us question.
"I actually would like to thank each one of you for your warm welcome." Ian started while everyone was enjoying their foods.
"You're most welcome to join us anytime." Mr.Park said.
"If you and Ellison joined our team we might be having more night employees. It's not that bad here, but no one wants to work at night." Ashton said rolling his eyes.
"Thank you for the offer.. I would have actually took your offer if only I was working in one of the department." Ian started and everyone looked alarmed as they looked at me for answer.
I looked at Ian. "Let me introduce myself again. My name is Ian Collins."
