Bonus Update!
Ellison Taylor
The next day, we were called to the principal's office.
"I heard about the video that was circulating online. How are you feeling?" She pursed her lip together. "You want to file a bullying case with the boards?"
I sat quietly. She give me quiet a few moment to think again and she said, "I can't file a case with the boards if you don't stand with me." She said. "If you can speak up about this, we can work together to make it stop. We will be working together with the board about this matter, but separately as a school to give students the help that they need."
I sat quietly and didn't say anything. She sighed, "We will find out who made the video and shared it and then there will be consequences."
I was soon allowed to leave the office. Brent seemed concerned as soon as I came out.
"Are you okay?" He asked. The school of course had to contact a guardian about this matter, and Brent was the only one who was in Town to actually come to talk to the principal. He is taking things very well. I thought he will be angry at Ian or whoever took the video, but he seemed calmer than I expected.
"Let's go home." He said. I nodded my head, I have had enough stares from people already and I felt like hiding from the world, but how much can I hide?
We bumped into Ian and he stepped forward and tried to reached out for me, but Brent stood in front of me.
"Although the principal didn't mention your name. I could see your face very clearly in the video. You already did enough, I suggest you stay away from her. I'm asking you nicely right now- please don't make me do things that you'll regret later."
"I just have to explain to her."
"You could have." And that was the first time I spoke after hours. "You could have did it that time when Brooke showed the video to me, but instead you stood silently while the whole school was laughing at me." I glared at him with hatred. "You disgust me."
"Let's go, Ellison."
"Please." He begged as he stepped a little too close and this time Brent pushed him away lightly.
"I said away from her."
At least, El and Cooper came by and pulled Ian back. I walked out from that place without looking back at him or at the school.
It's been eight years after the incident. I'm 25 years old now. With the help of the support from Brent and Claire. I was able to graduate in high school with flying colours. My 25 years old self was mad at my 17 years old self for even transferring myself from that school to a public school, but I think my 17 years old self couldn't take the humiliation and the stares of the whole school. They whispered and talked behind me and brought the topic out of curiosity and that time, they won and I lost to them.
I'm currently one of the managing director working with the fashion industries. Funny how things turned out this way, I would have never imagined working in this field when I was in high school, but here am I recruiting models, dealing with shows and sales of the products.I'm proud of my job and happy too at this moment. I thought my world had fell apart after that incident, but with much needed help and support. I was able to pick myself up and what better way to make myself feel better is to be better than them. I feel like I have changed, not sure for better or for worse. I'm much colder to others- that's what people tell me. I'm suspicious when people are too nice to me and Brent said I need to loosen up a bit.
I haven't seen any of them after that incident. I've officially moved to an apartment in Downtown, which is closer to work making it easier for me to stay back if I want to for work and not have to worry about travelling time. Ian, himself has not been doing bad. He's all over the place. In magazines, billboards and TV. He took over his family business and expanded his business all over the world, turning him into the youngest billionaire bachelor in the world. I was glad I didn't cross path with him after that.
Someone put a Starbucks' cup on my table and I look at the guy in front of me. Kingsley, one of my coworker who was once a model for this company. He is tall, handsome and charming. He have good sense of style considering he was once a model and still carry himself well. He is a year younger than me, but pretend to be older than me.
"You do know I don't like coffee." I scrunched my nose.
"Sorry, that's for me. This one is for you." He handed me what smelled like Hot chocolate and my eyes widened with surprise and I grinned.
"How did you know I was craving for one?" I asked.
"I just guess." He winked as he sipped his coffee.
I'm very well aware of Kingsley's flirting and also aware that I'm his crush at the moment. He seemed to have told everyone close to me,that he likes me but is scare to tell me. I tried to draw the line between us a couple of times but he seemed to be too oblivious about it. I don't want to be too direct with him about me knowing about his feelings towards me because I just heard it from people and sometime it can be a rumour and I know the embarrassment when it comes to rumours.
"I'll get us some snacks." I offered as I stood up.
"Sandwich?" He asked.
"Sure. Which one would you like?"
"I'll come with you?" He asked as he stood straight while towering over me.
"I doubt." I laughed. "You have a meeting in half an hour."
"Sh*t." He cussed as he looked at his watch. "Hold on to the offer of you buying me the sandwich today, I can't come with you."
"I'll have it deliver to your meeting today." I grinned.
"No." He shake his head, "I don't want it today."
I put my hand on my chin and pretended to think.
"Pretty please." He pouted. "I can't eat anything in the meeting. It's too nerve wracking."
I laughed a bit "Fine." I said. "Good luck with your meeting." And I stood up to grab my things.
"Where are you going?" He asked.
"Home."
"So early?"
"I've finished my work, boss said I can take half day off today." I winked.
"I think you're her favourite."
I shrugged. "Well, if you work hard, you can be her favourite too."
"I doubt, I've been getting increase in sale thanks to this." He pointed to his face then his body. "But she still think I could have did better."
"Well, good luck in the meeting with her today." I said and waved him goodbye.
"You're coming tomorrow right?" He called out. I turned around and give him a wink.
"I don't know." I said.
