Goku's POV
" You take that end of the city and I'll take the other end." I said. Vegeta scoffed. " I don't have to help you Kakarot." He said. He started to walk away. Omega Shenron just attacked the city. But we managed to beat him. Barely. Vegeta and I are going to have a battle after we search the city for survivors.
So I'm still at Ssj4. I'm currently searching the city for survivors. I've helped a few so far. Of course they were afraid of my appearance. While I was wandering around, I heard someone crying. I ran to the sound immediately. The crying was coming from beneath some rubble. I quickly cleared it out to discover a white blanket.
The blanket started moving. I picked it up and inside was a baby boy/girl. They stopped crying and stared at me. I stared back. " What is a baby doing out here?" I asked myself. To my surprise, they started cooing and giggling. I let them grab my finger and play with it. They weren't afraid of me. " Hmm...I'm gonna keep you." I said.
They started to giggle again. I gave a little chuckle and started walking back to Vegeta. " Finally. You took forever." He said. " Sorry. I got preoccupied." I said. I showed him the blanket. " Kakarot, why do you have a baby?" He asked. " I found it in the rubble. I'm going to keep it." I said.
" Why would you keep that child. He/She is just a human. No powers. They aren't even a saiyan." Vegeta said. " I don't care. He/She needs someone to take care of them. And I'm going to do it." I said. " Tsk. Whatever. Just don't get me involved." Vegeta said. He/She started to giggle again. " Let's see. I'm going to call you Y/N. My son/daughter." I said. They cooed at me. " I'm going to take great care of you." I said.
Time skip to Y/N's childhood
Vegeta's POV
Kakarot left with Shenron after our battle. He left Y/N in my care. He/She is now five. I've been training him/her. Even though he/she isn't a saiyan, he/she has a lot of potential. " Galic gun." Y/N said. I dodged it. " You're getting better." I said. He/She smiled. We flew down. " That's enough for today. It's time to get something to eat." I said.
" Okay daddy." Y/N said. He/She smiled at me. I gave a small smile. He/She ran out of the room. I followed. Bulma made us some Ramen. " Hey daddy Vegeta?" Y/N said. " What is it?" I replied. " When is daddy Goku coming back? The only time I've met him was when I was a baby. I want to see him again." Y/N said.
I thought he/she forgot about Kakarot. " He'll be back soon." I said. " How soon?" He/She asked. " Before your sixth birthday next week." I said. " Okay." Y/N said. After dinner, we continued to train. Since Y/N was getting stronger, I decided to test Y/N's strength at Ssj4. He/She held their own for a while.
But I ended up winning. After training, I put Y/N to bed. " So how are you going to come through on your promise?" Someone asked. I turned to face Bulma. " What promise?" I asked. " The promise to Y/N that Goku would be back by his/her birthday next week." Bulma said. I froze. I didn't know how I was going to do that.
" I'll go talk to Supreme Kai. Maybe he can do something." I said. I began to walk away. " You know you've never acted like this. Not even to our own children. Why is Y/N so important t you?" Bulma asked. I gave a smile and shrugged. I went to go speak with Supreme Kai. " I'll try Vegeta. But the realm of the eternal dragons is hard to reach." He said. I nodded. I want to make Y/N happy.
Time skip to Y/N's Birthday.
Vegeta's POV
Y/N's birthday was off to a great start. Bulma spent a lot of money on it. Even though Y/N is only adopted, we love him/her as our own. I did end up getting a message from Supreme Kai about the Kakarot matter. He said that he couldn't reach the realm of eternal dragons. So Bulma and I thought of a new plan.
We decided to gather up the Earth's Dragon Balls and have Y/N wish of Kakarot. After he/she opened all of her presents, we gave him/her the Dragon Balls and had him/her make the wish. " Arise Shenron! By your name I summon you forth!" Bulma said.

" I am the Dragon Shenron. I will grant you any wish. Speak it now so I may grant it." Shenron said. " Please Shenron. Please bring Goku black from the Realm of Eternal Dragons?" Y/N asked. " I can." He said. Y/N smiled. Shenron's eyes glowed and Kakarot appeared before us. " Hi, everyone." He said.
" Daddy!" Y/N said. He/She ran into his arms. " Y/N! You've grown so much. Happy Birthday." He said. " Your wish has been granted. Farewell." Shenron said. The Dragon Balls disbursed across the world. " Thanks for taking care of Y/N while I was gone." He said. " No problem." I said.
" I'm sorry that I didn't have time to get you a present." Kakarot said. " It's okay. You're the only present I need." Y/N said. But he/she began to think. " What is it?" I asked. " You know...I've never seen you two fight. So can you do a little spar for me?" Y/N asked. Kakarot and I both nodded. We transformed into Ssj4 and began to battle. And while we were battling, Y/N had a huge smile on his/her face. We knew that we raised him/her well.
