Dragon Ball Oneshots

Ea x Inventor!Reader

A/N: I haven't done with with Ea yet. So I figured I should do one. If you don't know who Ea is, he is the Supreme Kai from Universe 3. Enjoy!

Y/N's POV

" Dammit! It's not working again!" I said. I put my head on my desk. " Why can't I crack the equation?" I said. I'm the head of my own company. I built this company from the ground up. And yet I can't crack this simple equation for this invention to work. Ugh! I've been working around the clock, 24/7, trying to crack this equation.

And nothing. There's a tour coming in today. People always come by to visit the lab. I wanted to have the new invention done before they came. But it doesn't look like it was going to happen.     " How's it going in here?" My assistant, Barbra, asked. " Ugh!" I said. " That bad?" She asked. I nodded.

She put a sandwich next to me. " Lunch. The tour should be coming soon." She said. " Thanks." I said. She walked out. " I'm never going to finish this invention by the time the tour gets here. I wish someone would help me?" I said.

Ea's POV

I was looking at the mortal worlds again. Well better yet, looking at Y/N. They are so perfect. I found Y/N while I was bored. Y/N's passion for science and the unknown was incredible attractive. They would always try something new, even if it failed multiple times. But this troubled me that they weren't getting the equation for what they were inventing.

I wanted to help them out. But Kais and mortals aren't allowed to talk. The 7th Universe Kai decided to break that rule. It's upsetting. How can Shin interact with the lower life forms where I can't. The thought made me angry. I shook my head. " That's it. I'm going down there. But I need a disguise. People might notice me." I said.

I put on a long over coat and a hat and went down to the mortal realm. I kept tabs on Y/N's company and found out that they let tours in. There's one today. I'm going to sneak in and help Y/N with his/her experiment. A few minutes later, I was outside Y/N's company. " Here I go." I said. I was nervous.

" How do I approach him/her? What do I say? Will Y/N like me?" I thought. I shook off the thought. The tour that I was in started. " And here is one of our newest workers projects." The guide said. I was getting bored. " All these puny inventions make me want to tear out my hair. I want to see Y/N." I thought.

" And here is where Y/N, our company's CEO and founder works. Unfortunately, he's/she's busy and isn't accepting visitors at this moment. So let's move onto another room." The our guide said. I stayed back when the tour moved forward. I looked around for other people. When I saw no one, I took off my disguise. 

I examined the lock for Y/N's lab. " Hmm. Complicated for some, but not for me." I said. I quickly opened the lock and went in.

Y/N's POV

" Grrr...Rah!" I said. I threw my notebook at the wall. " Another failed attempt. What am I going to do?" I said. I put my head on my desk. " Well you may want to multiply 409 by pi before you divide 218 by 623." I heard someone say. I turned my head to see a man holding my notebook. 

He was pretty standard in height. But what was abnormal was that he had blue skin. Well, it's more of a periwinkle. He reminded me of these beings I heard about in legends. They're called Kaioshins. They're supposed to be creation gods. He was even dressed like one.

His supposed " Kaioshin " outfit he was wearing was a teal undershirt with blue pants and white boots. He was wearing a brown over shirt with a pink tie around his waist. He was wearing green earrings. He was also wearing red glasses that he fiddled with a lot. I walked up to him and swiped the notebook out of his hands. I then did the equation the way he mentioned and it worked. 

" It worked?" I said. " See?" He said. He was standing over my shoulder. I was startled. I fell out of my chair. He extended his hand to me. " Here. Sorry about startling you. My name's Ea." He said. " Y/N." I said I took his hand. " Nice to meet you Y/N." He said. I nodded. Being close to him gave me a weird feeling in my chest.

" How did you get in here?" I asked. " The lock was simple to crack for a brainiac like me." He said. He sounded arrogant. " Arrogance isn't a strength for a scientist. It's a weakness." I said. I started working on my invention. Ea started to help out. For some reason, I didn't push him away.

I ftook a break after a while. " Thanks for helping me out. Sorry about the comment before." I said. " No problem. Maybe my arrogance is one of the reasons that our universe is ranked at a low level." He said. " What do you mean by that?" I asked. " I'm a the Kaioshin of this universe." Ea said.

I started laughing. " Kaioshins aren't real. Are you sure you didn't touch one of my chemicals?" I asked. " I can prove I'm a Kaioshin." He said. He grabbed me and pulled me close. " Hold on. Kai kai." He said. A bright light engulfed us. I opened my eyes to see a planet. But not just any planet, my planet. 

" Wait what?! How did we get here? How am I still alive?" I asked. " I used my power. You can breathe because I can create oxygen if needed." He said. " So I guess you are a Kaioshin. Impressive." I said. " Thanks." He said. " But why come to me?" I asked. 

" I believe that mechanical life forms are more proficient than organic life forms. Better known as mortals or humans. But you were the only mortal that sparked my interest. I do appreciate mortals who build mechanical life forms, but you were different. You build machines and mechanical life forms to aid  mortals. That is what I want in a partner." He said.

" Partner?" I asked. " So smart yet blind to the obvious." He said. He flew up to me and kissed me. He was soft and gentle. We both didn't want the kiss to end, but we had to break for air.         " Oh. So that's what you mean by partner." I said. " You catch on quickly." He said. 

We kissed again. " Let's go back to my lab. I need to put the finishing touches on my invention. Then after that we'll engage in a different type of science. Something that will be physical and emotional." I said. I winked at him. He then transported us back to my lab. That was the beginning of a wonderful partnership. And relationship.
