I spent the rest of the day and half of the next in my room, I didn't feel like seeing anyone, and they all understood, Leo had my food sent up even as everyone was busy with the pack moving out, Jay had insisted and I completely agreed. I had spent most of my time reading novels, and playing my saxophone.

It was already getting late, Sky had called and informed me she'd be coming over in twenty minutes, I tried refusing but she was adamant, I understood her insistence, she had probably heard what happened and was worried, I gave in after a while, I couldn't stay holed up in my room forever.

Getting of my bed, I threw on a huge shirt over my underwear, before stepping out and heading down to the ground floor.

I sank down on one of the couches in the living room, rolling my eyes at the solemn atmosphere, my presence seemed to lighten things up a bit and soon they were all engaged in light conversation. I didn't participate though, just content to be in their company.

"How are you?" Leo asked after a while and everyone went silent, waiting for my reply, I didn't say anything though, opting to shrug instead and they all sighed before going quiet again.

"Jay?" I asked after a while breaking the silence and Leo and Kay sighed.

"holed up in his office, immersed in work and refusing to see anyone." Kay informed me and I nodded.

"Luc?" I asked again turning to Caine and he sighed shaking his head, I shut my eyes, leaning my head back against the couch without another word.

Sky arrived a few minutes later, looking around, she noticed the atmosphere and quietly walked to my side, taking a seat beside me and placed a comforting hand on my lap, I opened my eyes briefly, giving her a small smile before shutting them again.

"what the fuck do you want, I thought I already informed you to get off pride property." I heard Kay growl furiously at someone behind me, I opened my eyes, turning around to see Claire behind me, she was already mostly healed, perks of being a werewolf.

"I... I wanted to speak with you." She said hesitantly, referring to me, my gaze turned cold and I turned away from her instantly, completely ignoring her presence, I had no intention of engaging in a conversation with her.

"Please?" She tried again, I didn't react even as the rest of the guys got agitated throwing her hateful glares and demanding she left our presence and the pride territory in general. She sighed in despair when she noticed I wasn't paying her any attention.

"For what it's worth, I'm sorry." She said sadly, I tried ignoring her again but I kept recalling her beaten up and battered form of which I was the cause, somehow I felt I at least owed her a final audience. Somewhere in the back of my mind, the nagging feeling came back, telling me to be wary but I pushed it aside, attributing it to my intense dislike for her.

I turned around to face her, raising a brow and she sighed in relief, before coming around the table and handing me a huge pack of my favorite orange juice.

"I noticed you really enjoyed this, a peace offering and an apology before I leave, please accept it." She pleaded hopefully, I stared suspiciously at the pack in her hands not making any move to receive it, she sighed, placing it down in front of me and going into the kitchen, she returned with two glasses, uncapping the juice pack and pouring a generous amount into both glasses, she lifted one glass to her lips, emptying it in a few large gulps, before turning to stare at me.

I scoffed turning my face away from the glass of juice, she sighed in defeat.

"I understand if you can't forgive me, I just wanted you to know I'm deeply sorry, for everything, I hope one day you'll be able to forgive me, I promise to stay out of your sight from now on." She said honestly, before turning around and walking away sadly.
