I Reject You

   ~Ariana's POV~
I walked out the door I had seen the two guys leave from, I didn't know why I was following them, there was just something about them that attracted me immensely, I didn't know what it was and I hated not knowing, so I trailed after them, walking deeper into the woods I had seen them enter, hearing a voice, I stopped and listened.

"She's our mate." I heard,

'mate? me?, No way' I thought, I knew what a mate was, Mia and Dan had explained the concept of it to me before, following the voice, I noticed a clearing ahead of me and quickly hid behind a tree,

"You think i don't know that?" the one facing my direction replied, I wondered how they hadn't noticed my presence by now, perhaps they were too engrossed in the conversation they were having,

"What happens now?" the one with his back to me asked,

"I have no fucking idea, okay" the other replied, peaking from behind the tree, I finally noticed the eyes of the one facing me and I gasped inaudibly, a sense of deja Vu running through me, I knew those eyes, the wolf in my dreams.

'No fucking way!' I thought to myself, it couldn't be possible, that meant the other was..., Shaking of my thoughts, I realized I had missed some part of the conversation.

"she has to choose." I heard from green eyes and my eyes widened as memories of my dreams rushed through my head, it was them, there was no denying it, 'but how?', I wondered, it didn't matter though because as much as it had in my dreams or perhaps even more, those words hurt me badly... and that moment I made a decision.

"You wouldn't do that, she's human, that'd mean a rejection from one of us, she can't handle that!" the one I assumed to be blue eyes said,

"Well I don't know what to do okay." green eyes replied and I frowned,

"Well I know what to do." I answered before blue eyes could, walking into the clearing, they both gave me a look of shock and I couldn't help the flutter in my heart at seeing them from such a close range, I was stunned speechless for a while before I shook it off,

"I'm not gonna choose." I said with certainty,

"I don't know much about your world but I know enough, enough to know what a mate should mean to you, I don't know what you guys have between you, and I honestly don't care, but if being with me is something that has to be decided, then I don't want you either, besides I won't let fate or your laws decide who I love for me, I Ariana Ebere reject the both of you as my mates!" I snapped, with that I turned around walking away, leaving them both in shock, just before I walked out of the clearing ,I heard.

"Even a human knows enough to know a mate shouldn't be a choice, I don't even know why I had been holding unto the hope that you'd have a change of heart, I have been foolish, as of now, I completely and utterly give up on you Talon Raine Moon, the worst thing that has happened to me is having you as a mate." I paused my steps in shock, spinning round to see blue eyes headed my way, pausing when he got to me.

"You made the right decision and I totally understand." he told me, before walking past and heading back into the mansion.

Looking up, I noticed a tear slipped out of Talon's eyes,

"You must hate me now as well..." He began,

"I just wanted you to know that, I have never seen a more beautiful woman in my life." He said in a sad tone, before i could say anything in response, he shifted and ran into the woods.

I walked back to the house, seeing Mia and Dan outside, they rushed to me the moment they saw me.

"Are you okay?" Mia asked worriedly as they looked me over,

"yeah, yeah, I'm fine." I said, my voice lacking energy, they looked at each other and then looked back at me, Cain and Grey got to us at that moment,

"How did it go?" Cain asked and I gave him a puzzled look,

"How did what go?" I replied in confusion,

"The meeting with the Alpha and the leader of the pride of course." Grey said chuckling,

"Uhmm, I didn't meet them yet, you guys were supposed to arrange it." I said puzzled,

"But you left after the both of them and you three were in the woods for a while." Dan complained and my eyes widened in shock,

"Talon and the other blue eyed guy are the Alphas?!" I asked in alarm,

"uhmm yeah, the two hotties you spotted or that spotted you rather the moment we walked into the ball." Mia teased in amusement and I looked at her blankly, she frowned,

"Come on Ana, Talon is the Alpha of Crescent Moon Pack." she explained,

"And the blue eyed hottie you were referring to is Jaylen, the leader of the Pride." Dan continued, I gasped in horror,

"I had no idea!" I whisper screamed.

"What did you do...?" Cain asked seriously,

"uhmm, well, the thing is...I may or may not have rejected them." I said hesitantly,the four of them looked at each other before simultaneously shouting.

"You did what?!" I didn't answer, looking at them with a weak smile,

"Let me get this straight, they were your mates?" Grey asked in shock and I nodded,

"Both of them?" I heard from Dan and I nodded again,

"why?" Mia asked softly referring to my reasons for rejecting them and I sighed,

"Well.....I think I may have figured out why the Alphas hate each other so much." I said, they all gave me a curious look and I sighed,

"I really don't know if it's something I'm supposed to discuss....", I trailing off with hesitation, placing a hand on my shoulder Cain gave me a pleading look,

"Talon is my friend and my brother but before that he is my Alpha, I love him and nothing you might inform me of would change that, I swear to you on my life that no harm would come to him due to whatever information you divulge tonight, if something is wrong, as his Beta, I need to know." he said and I couldn't help the look of respect that took over my features at his loyal words, here standing before me was a great man, pushing aside my hesitation, I gave in.

"They aren't just my mates, they are mates to each other as well." I explained, all four jaws dropped, Cain recovered first though.

"Seriously?!" he asked,

"yeah, I overheard from Jaylen himself, it seems they've known for a while and perhaps they even rejected each other, keep it between us though, I think if they wanted you guys to know, you would by now." I clarified, silence was all I got for a while, before finally, something came from Grey.

"So Talon is gay....I'd be damned!"
