Deku walked along, heading towards the UA sports festival. He wore a black hoodie, black jeans, and his red sneakers. He was given a mission by the League to go and observe the sports festival and analyze the quirks of those participating as best as he can. According to AFO, the students there could become potential enemies of the League, so it was best that they were prepared to handle them.
Deku was a bit early so he decide to wait outside the stadium for a bit before heading inside. He sat down on a nearby rail watching people walk by when he noticed two familiar people walking by.
"Hey," he called out, waving at them. "You're from UA aren't ya? Where you train to be heroes!"
The two he was speaking to stopped in their tracks and turned to look at the person who called out to them. One of them was a short girl with a slender yet feminine build, large and round brown eyes and hhoulder-length hair and the same color as her eyes, that bobbed and curved inwards at the ends. The other was a relatively tall and muscular young man with a wide frame. He had short dark blue hair, flattened neatly down and parted on the left of his head, a small patch completely shaved near the base of his head, and rather square eyes which match the notably pointed shape of his jaw and a serious expression on his face.
"Huh, o-oh yeah," the girl replied. "But how did you know?"
"You can call it a hunch or intuition, I don't really care. The names Izaya Miduku." When Deku had joined the League, he decided to create a fake name in case he ever needed it, and combined his first and last name to do so.
"Oh I'm Uraraka and this is Iida."
"Well nice to meet you two. So wich of the two hero classes are you in?"
"U-um we are in 1-A."
"No," Deku said gasping. "You're in that class that got attacked? That must have been absolutely terrifying." Deku noticed that both Uraraka and Iida seemed to get nervous when he mentioned the USJ incident. "Oh forgive me, you probably don't want to talk about it."
"Hey Uraraka," Iida said. "We should get going or were going to be late. You know how Aizowa can get, so let's hurry."
Deku threw up both his hands. "Oh, I'm sorry. Go go. I'd feel terrible if you were late because of me. I wish you luck, give it your all"
The two students started to walk away, but Uraraka turned back around to say goodbye to Deku, but he was already gone, no trace of him left.
Deku was walking, navigating the crowd while heading towards the entrance. "Give it your all so I can see what you're made of," he thought.
All Might was sitting alone getting ready for the Festival. He would be expected to make an appearance towards the end to present the medals to the victors.
However his mind was preoccupied at the moment. He looked back at what had happened recently.
A few days after the staff meeting, All Might visited Tsukauchi to see how the search for Deku was going. While there he took a look at the files of different people that Tsukauchi had found that matched the description. It was when he looked at those that were dismissed as not being the suspect, when he stumbled onto something. In there was the file on the boy he had met, Izuku Midoriya. He was indeed quirkless like he said and Deku was thought to be, and he did seem slightly similiar. He went to the same middle school as Bakugo which could explain the possible connection between him and Deku. And he was listed as deceased, killed the day after he met All Might.
When All Might saw this, he asked Tsukauchi for details about what happened. Apparently that day, he got caught in the crossfire between two small time gangs. Then the building he was in cought fire and when the authorities finally found his body it was unrecognizable. The DNA test was unreliable, but apparently a match. The best guess the police could give for him being there was that he was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time or he saw something suspicious and got too close when it happened.
"Knowing that boy, he was trying to be a hero, and got caught up in that trying to prove everyone wrong about him," All Might thought. "After what I told him he probably got desperate, and he must have seen something and thought it was his chance."
After that All Might left, and those thoughts kept haunting him. He got up and looked out the window, when for a second, he thought he saw Izuku talking to Iida and Uraraka. He closed his eyes and rubbed them before looking back, but he couldn't see him anywhere. "You're losing it Toshi," he told himself.
Later, throughout the first and second rounds Deku watched each of the competitors use their quirks and analysed them which wasn't very difficult. It was the rounds of combat that he watched intently, the competitors that had made it that far were the most skilled and dangerous. Most of the 1A group had made it to this round. Some however stood out more than others. Most of all was Shoto Todoroki, son of the number 2 hero Endeavour. As the battles began Izuku recorded everything he saw, how people used their quirks and their battle styles. After that was over and All Might appeared to give the closing speech, Deku left, not wanting to listen to the numer one hero.
Hours later Deku was sitting in his office at the apartment, working on his analysis for the videos of the 2nd and 3rd years that was taken by different members of the League. Afterward he left and turned on the TV while he made himself something to eat. Then something caught his attention. The Hero Killer struck again in Hosi city, and injured the turbo hero Ingenium.
"Hmm, if I remember correctly, that Iida person is related to him isn't he," Deku thought. "And if the Hero Killer sticks to his pattern, then he'll strike twice again." Deku turned off the TV, before eating and heading to bed.
A couple days later, Deku was heading to the bar, having been called by Kurogiri for some kind of meeting. But nothing could have prepared him for what he saw when he arrived. Crouching above Shigaraki, who had knife in his shoulder, was the Hero Killer.
"Well shit," Deku thought. "It's Stain."
