Deku's eyes open, filled with confusion and a bit of terror. The last thing that he could remember was Muscular about to crush his skull... and then that light and all those sounds. He tried to sit up, but let out a small cry as he felt sharp pains shoot throughout his body. Slowly, he propped himself up against the cliff side and used his healing drug and something to numb the pain before taking a look around, confused by what he saw. He had expected the place to be pretty wrecked by Muscular's attacks, but that wasn't it. The area where he had woken up had a few scorch marks. Near the drop off, he saw Muscular lying face down. Muscular himself seemed to be unconscious and covered in some burns.
"Did Dabi show up and help me," Deku thought. Looking around he saw no signs of anybody but him and Muscular. While doing so, he noticed that most of his gear, especially the explosives, were missing. "Or did my stuff set off some kind of fire. I did carry some things capable of fires and when used with others could become pretty powerful. While Dabi is capable of those scorch Mark's and burns, he should be elsewhere." With the effects of both drugs kicking in, Deku was able to shakily stand up, still leaning against the wall and looked himself over again and he realized something that confused him even more. "It doesn't matter if it was Dabi or some freak chemical reaction. Why isn't there a single burn on either me?"
While Deku was trying to figure out what had happened, Kota was nearing the facility when he ran into the pro hero Eraserhead who was leaving to provide backup for Mandalay and Tiger.
"Eraser help, you gotta help him," Kota cried.
"What, what is it."
"I was attacked by one of the villains, but another one stepped in and fought him while I ran. I ran into one of your students on the way here, and when I told them they ran to help."
"Wait why? And who was it?" As he asked these questions, he had a bad feeling that he already knew the answer.
"It was that guy with the engine legs. He told me to describe the villains and then ran off."
"What did you tell him when he asked for a description."
Kota wiped his nose before answering. "The one that attacked me was Muscular, the villain that killed my parents. The other was a short person in a vest and tie wearing a mask."
After instructing Kota to run to the facility where Vlad King was, Aizawa ran to the location that Kota had given him. "Dammit it Iida, why did you have to run off," Aizawa wondered. "And to run towards both Muscular and Deku, are you crazy. Actually why are they even fighting. Deku has shown unvillainous like qualities, but to fight Muscular to save a random boy. It's thought that he doesn't even have a quirk, so he'll just end up getting himself killed. Just what is with this person?"
Meanwhile, Deku had recovered enough strength to walk, and was heading over to check on Muscular. When he got closer, he saw that the burns were not as bad as he had thought. Not wanting to take any chances, Deku grabbed two tranquilizers and jabbed them into Muscular's neck.
Deku stood up and was about to take off his mask to get some fresh air, when he got the feeling he was being watched. Turning around, Deku saw Iida standing there, panting. "This isn't good," Deku thought. "I barely have enough strength to stand. I won't be able to fight him off."
Hoping to intimidate him into leaving, Deku pulled out his last gun and pointed it at Iida. "This is your only chance. Leave now and you won't be hurt."
Instead of leaving, Iida put his hands up and slowly started to walk forward. "I don't mean you any harm. I just wanted to talk."
"Dammit Iida, there isn't anything to discuss. Turn around now or I will shoot to kill."
