39.Battle Begins

Deku walked towards the exit of the base. “Is everything ready?”

“Yes, Everything is ready,” Cat told him. “As long as everything goes according to plan today, which of course things should.”

“Lets not get ahead of ourselves, one cannot be prepared for everything. While things should go according to plan, except it won’t, since when has life gone like you planned it. We can make our plans, but God will just look at us and laugh as he makes things work his way, we can only do our best.”

“Oh stop being so pessimistic,” Ai said. “Things are going to work.”

Deku looked back at his group as they stood behind him in their gear, ready for the battle that laid ahead of them. Monterio had black combat boots and pants, as well as black kevlar gloves and a tank top that was made of a special material to help protect his vital organs better, and it also had a mask connected to it that he was currently wearing to cover his face. He also had a belt around his waist that had syringes filled with condensed nutrients and the like so he could use it as fuel for his quirk in case he began to run low on energy. Maria had black shoes that were similar to Deku’s and she wore a black body suit that was surprisingly similar to Uraraka except hers had an opening on her back to allow her to use her wings freely. Ai and Sayuri wore similar outfits. They were both like what a clown would wear, Ai’s being mostly black with a few dark pink stripes while Sayuri’s color scheme was swapped. Ai had a mask with a smile like a theatre mask while Sayuri’s had a frown. Sayuri’s outfit also had music notes on it while AI’s had more smiling theatre masks all over it. Daichi mostly wore regular clothes since his body would keep changing depending on which animal traits he manifested, though to hide his identity he was in a tiger form like when Deku had the meeting to discuss an alliance. Sadao was also in his regular lab coat shirt and jeans but now he had a utility belt like Deku’s that was filled with his own tools as well as a mask that was also like Deku’s.

“Yeah, things have to work or we’re pretty fucked aren’t we,” Deku said. He opened the door and stepped out, followed closely by his team. “So, lets go fuck up the League.”

After things having been planned and prepared for so long, it was only an hour later that everyone was ready and at their assigned locations. At a nearby hospital where a doctor who worked to create Nomus for the League worked, several pro heroes started to move in, quickly trying to find him and all the Nomus. While at a large facility secluded in the woods the other group of heroes were gathered and also moving in, bringing along some of the students from UA. The rest of the students were gathered all around the area, wishing for the victory of the heroes and the safety of themselves and even more so the safety of their friends who were needed with the main group.

While the heroes handled most of the work, Deku and his team would be handling different assignments. Monterio and Daichi would be on the frontlines, while Marai either supported them or helped fight villains who could also fly. Sadao would help keep people alive with his quirk, even carrying a drug that could put people in a near death state so he could heal them if they weren’t badly injured enough for his quirk’s condition to be met. The two Tai’s would work together, and when the Tai was supposed to leave then the other would escort him back before returning. And when any of them found where Shigaraki was located they would meet up and fight him along with other heroes. Deku was currently working with Mirio and the pro hero Backdraft, their mission being to handle Dabi.

In order to help hide the identities of his group they used their codenames. Monterio was Tank, Maria was Diabla, Sadao just went by his nickname of Doc, Daichi was Beast, and Tai from Deku’s group went by Void.

As the heroes were charging forward Deku could hear Kaminari who was one of the students who were tasked to help the heroes as he complained loudly. Deku changed the direction he was running until he was standing next to him, causing the student to stumble at suddenly seeing him.
