• Backstory: The son of an honorable Wolf Faunus family he was given to Jacques and Willow when he was 10 to serve as Weiss' Guardian. It seemed only Willow was interested in the idea but that was enough to get Rune in and was introduced to Weiss who seemed intrigued by the idea. For four years Rune was trained to be able to effectively protect Weiss all while the young heiress watched. At 14 Rune became Weiss' official Guardian and was warned by Jacques that if he got too close to Weiss he'd make him suffer. And he did. Any time Weiss was found asleep against Rune Jacques had him taken somewhere and beaten. Rune started to grow depressed and wanting it all to just end. His childhood dreams had been taken away when his family gave him to the Schnee's, his hopes for a friend in Weiss shattered by her bastard father and all the Faunus' reputation seemingly on his shoulders. The once happy Rune that his family once knew was dead and gone.
