Chapter 9

Imani's POV

We kept going around killing people to find out where this guy was. I did not know what Klaus wants with him but it's getting annoying because he's not telling me anything. But we pulled up to this bar called Southern Comfort. I'm glad we came here. I am hungry and I could use something to drink. Klaus gave me some money.
"Here love go ahead and treat yourself to something to eat I have some business to take care of." he said kissing my lips. I smiled. I love how he spoiled me. I went to my own table and waited for the waiter to come. I realized that it was Elena's Bday. I also realized how I left my phone in the car. So I rushed out to get it. I looked in my phone for Elena's number and I dialed it on the payphone so Elena couldn't track where I was

"Hello?" She said not knowing who it was

"Hi Elena." I said in a calm voice

"Imani? OMG where are you? Where's Stefan?" She asked

"I can't tell you that but I can tell you Happy Birthday. I know that its not really a Happy Birthday but just know that Stefan sends his wishes. I have to go before Klaus realizes I am gone for too long. BYE." I said hanging up the phone not even giving her enough time to speak. I walked back in and ordered something to eat. I saw some girl come up to Klaus. Of course I got jealous and I asked
"What's going on?" I said folded my arms. Stefan also walked over there.
"My brother's still on our trail?" Stefan asked
"He's getting closer. I'm going to have to deal with that." Klaus said
Then Stefan stopped him.
"No no no let me handle it." Stefan said quickly. I could see he didn't want Damon to die.
"Why should I let you leave?" Klaus asked
"Cause you know I'll come back."
"Do I?"
"You saved my brothers life. I'm in your service."
"Oh that almost sound so tedious and indentured. Aren't you even having the least bit of fun?" Klaus said pointing at the guy.
"I'll make sure that my brother doesn't bother us anymore." Stefan said
"I'll come with you." I said
"You're not going anywhere." Klaus said.
"Yes I am." I said
"I said no." Klaus said
"I'm gonna go." Stefan said
We watched Stefan walk out of the door.
"Why wouldn't you let me go with him?" I said
"Because I said so."
"Klaus you're doing it again. You think you have this power over me and that you can tell me what I can and cannot do. You are not my father." I said and I walked away. I went to the restroom. Klaus has always been like that. He would never allow me to do things. He may have saved me from slavery and many other things but that does not indicate if he can tell me what to do.
I cried out of anger. I wiped my tears and I went to the bar. I sit far away from Klaus. He went to let his anger out on the guy he was trying to get information from. A very attractive guy came up to me.
"Hey. Are you alright?"
"Yes I'm fine. I just had a fight with my boyfriend." I told him
"I'm sorry to her that. Let me buy you a drink." He said
"Sure." I said. He obviously was trying to be nice so I let him. After a while we were talking for the remainder of time. Then I had the sudden urge to pee.
"I'll be right back I have to go to the restroom." I said.

"Ok I'll be here waiting." He said. I smiled at him.

Klaus's POV
I really screwed up with Imani. The reason I didn't send her with Stefan is because I wanted to protect her. I was scared that if she went with him out of anger Damon would kill her. She came back from the bathroom. It looked like she had been crying. It broke my heart to see her like that. I distracted myself by torturing Ray.
"Where's your pack?" I asked him he still wouldn't tell me. I looked over at Imani and some pretty boy went to talk to her. He started making her smile and laugh. Of course I was jealous. A couple hours later she was still talking to him. I grew angry but I kept my composure because I knew she would never forgive me if I killed him. Then I saw him put something in her drink. Some white powder. Then I saw her come back. She took a sip of her drink and started talking back to him. I rushed over there.
"What's going on over here?" I asked
"Go away Klaus." She said while grabbing her head
"Are you alright love" I asked her
"She said go away." The guy said standing up to me.
"Why should I? You drugged my girlfriend." I said
"Klaus what are you—" she was about to pass out
I caught her in my arms. I sat her back down and I snapped the guys neck. That felt so good but I had to make sure Imani was alright. I asked the bartender for a glass of water and  I told her to drink it. She did so.
"Thank you." She said
"You're welcome. Hey I'm sorry about earlier. I just didn't want you to go because I thought you were get hurt by Damon or someone. I love you." I said. I never say I love you a lot.
She smiled at me and kissed my lips.
"I love you too." She said
"I'll be back I have some business to attend to right now." I said and I walked off.
