Chapter 14

Imani's POV
I went home to pack up I guess. Klaus wanted me to go with him. Of course I said yes. So I was packing my clothes and my stuff. Then I heard a knock on my door. I opened it and it was Klaus.
"How did you—" I was cut off
"We have to go. Mikael is back." Klaus said
"Ok. Where's Rebekah?" I asked him
"We have to leave her behind. Mikael is after me after all." Klaus said
"I.. I'm not going." I said
"What? Why"
"Baby I'm tired of running. We have been running for so long I'm tired." I said
"Fine don't come then" Klaus said then he sped off.
"Klaus!" I yelled
I sighed in annoyance. I went to go meet Rebekah at the hospital where he left her.
"Have you seen Nik?" She asked me
"He left." I said
"Where did he go?" She asked me
"He said Mikael was back in town. He was trying to get me to go with him b it I'm told him I was tired of running and he stormed off." I told her.
"Now you see how I felt in the 20's. Ugh that bastard. Now I have nowhere to go." She said
"You can come with me. I have an apartment. I'll get us some drinks and we can have a girls night." I said wrapping my arm around her head.
"Imani I love you." She said
"Aww. I feel so special." I said
I went to the liquor store and got something strong.
For the rest of the night me and Rebekah stayed up.

The Next Day
I woke up and I looked at the clock it said 8:00.
"Oh shit I'm late. Rebekah get up."I said
"Why are you screaming at 8:00 in the morning." She asked
"I have to get ready for school." I said rushing.
"Why?"
"I have nothing else to do. Are you coming?" I asked
She waved her hand meaning she'll be on in a minute.
I brushed my teeth and put some perfume to get rid of the alcohol stench. I got into my car and Rebekah was beside me. And we arrived at school.
"Welcome to Mystic Falls high." I said
We got out of the car and the first class was history.
I sat in my normal seat in the back.
"Ok class we're gonna start on the first people in the us, the Native Americans." Alaric said
"What about the Vikings?" Rebekah said making an entrance
"They didn't exactly settle in America. Who are you?" He asked her
"I'm the new girl." She said
Then Alaric nodded his head and continued teaching.
I decided to text Klaus because I was worried about him. Once class was over I called him. He didn't answer. I was really worried but I'm sure he was fine. I went to my locker and Rebekah came next to me.
"Have you heard from your brother?" I asked her
"No. But he wants me to keep an eye on his hybrid." She said
"I've been texting and calling him. He hasn't responded and I'm getting worried."
"I'm sure he's fine. Stop worrying your pretty little head." She said
I nodded in agreement.
"Hey I was thinking of trying out for cheerleading. What do you think?" She asked
"That would be cool but you'll have to watch out for blondie. She's the Captain."I said looking at Caroline. She was making out with Tyler.
"That won't be an issue." She said

COUPLE OF HOURS LATER

The day went on and I went home. Rebekah said she was gonna stay with the Salvatore brothers just in case they were planning something against Klaus. Then Rebekah texted me. She must have gotten a phone.
"Are you going to the bonfire."
"Yes of course." I replied.
I looked at the time and I started to get dressed for the bonfire. I went over to the Salvatore house so I can pick up Rebekah. I knocked on the door and Stefan opened the door
"Well hello sexy." He said smirking
I smiled sarcastically, "Move. " I pushed him to the side.
"Becks come on." I yelling
"Coming." I saw her coming down the stairs. She came up to me
"How do I look"
"Cute. Now let's go. " I said smiling. She followed me out to the car.
"Is there anything I should know before we go?" She asked
"Yes don't drink beer. It's disgusting." I said
"I've had it before it's not bad." She said. I shrugged.
"If it's in your best interest. I still have some left over from last night. I always bring my own liquor." I said
We arrived at the bonfire. It looked so boring. Me and Rebekah went our separate ways. I went to go get a cup and I poured my drink in my cup and I drank. I couldn't drink that much because I drove here.
"Wanna dance?" A heard a voice say. It was someone from the school.
"No thanks I'm good"
"Oh come on"
"I said no"
He was obviously drunk. Then he pulled my arm.
"Let go of me!" I demanded
Then Stefan came and pushed him.
"Stefan stop" I said before he went overboard.
"You remember nothing of this" I told him and he walked away
"What the hell Stefan." I said
"What? I'm just looking out for you while Klaus is gone." He said while putting his hand in my face.
"Yeah well just because he's gone doesn't mean you can move in on me." I said while kicking him in his groin. Then I walked bbaway to find Rebekah.
"I'm leaving this party is boring. Are you coming?" I asked her
"No I'm gonna stick around for a little longer." I asked her
"No. I'm gonna stick around a little longer." She said
"Ok well see you tomorrow." I said and then I drove home. I pulled into the driveway and I texted Klaus.
"Please call me. I really need to hear your voice right now." I said. I waited a couple of minutes to see if he would respond and he didn't. I sighed and I went into my building. When I reached my floor I saw Klaus standing outside of my door.
"Hello, love" he said
