Chapter 21

Imani's POV
I woke up. I must have been really tired because I slept from yesterday afternoon to now. Today was also the day I was being discharged.  I suddenly felt sick. I then threw up. The nurse came in fast as possible.

"Are you ok?" She asked me

"I don't know. I just threw up." I told her.

"Ok. We're gonna run some tests to make sure everything is ok. Is it ok if we take some blood?" She asked me

"Sure." I told her. They came in to take blood. The needle stung but I got through it. A couple of minutes later she came in.

"We did some test on your blood and the results are back. Congratulations, You're pregnant." She said

"What?" I said

"Yes ma'am." She showed me the results

"But other than that. You're free to go.
Once I was discharged I took a cab home. The words the nurse said to me kept repeating in my head.Once I got on my floor I saw a card taped to the door.

'Imani Gerard'

It said. I looked confused.

'Please join the Mikaelson family this evening at Seven o'clock for dancing, cocktails & celebrations'

Is what it says. Great now I have to go to this event. I turned it over to see if there was anything else.

"Imani,
I've seen and heard so many great things about you. We should have a talk sometime,
Esther"

This was Klaus' mother. I never met his mother. Why does she want to meet me after we broke up? Why does it have to be on the day I just found out I was pregnant? I rolled my eyes. I went in my apartment and I took a shower.

Klaus' POV
So much has been going on in my life. My siblings hate me. My mother is back from the dead. And Imani dumped me. And then I overheard that Rebekah tried to kill Elena. I busted into the house.

"You went after Elena? What is wrong with you?" I said

"Here we go." Rebekah said

"Do you want another dagger in your heart?" I said threatening her

"Again with the dagger threats? Don't you have any other tricks?" Kol interrupted

"Oh go back to staring at yourself." I told him

"And who are you? My father?" He asked

"No, Kol. But you're in my house." I told him

"Then perhaps we should go outside." He said then he started getting in my face.

"Enough! Niklaus. Come" mother said
We went into the other room to talk.

"Rebekah wasn't even out of her box a day before she tried to ruin my life. What happened to peace, acceptance, family?" I said then she turned around

"You put daggers in their hearts. You want them to go down on their knees and kiss your feet for reuniting them?" She asked me

"So it's a crime to want our family to be as we were?"

"You need to give it time Niklaus. I've had a thousand years on the other side to be angry and to heal. I'm here to make sure this family does the same." Mother said
