"Just call her!" Jared demanded.

"No!" I argued.

It was Saturday morning, and here I was, kicked up on the couch with Jared sitting down next to me. We were arguing about me calling Jaycee. She specifically told me to talk to her when I'm ready to be nice, and I am obviously not ready. Call me stubborn, Jared's been calling me that all morning since I'm in a grumpy mood.

He woke me up at 8 just to ask me if I wanted breakfast and of course I accept. I love food. So I get out of bed, and wrap myself up in a blanket to sit on the couch to watch the early morning cartoons. He goes to the kitchen to cook, and by now I'm like so happy since Jare is going to cook breakfast. My happiness goes down the drain when he burns the pancakes, adds too much milk to the eggs, and undercooked the bacon. He can't cook! But I give him credit for trying. I promised him one morning, I'd teach him. I end up in an okay mood until Jared decides he wants to change the channel from my cartoons to watch his show then attacks me on how I should stop being stubborn and talk to Jaycee since she misses me. Which is why I'm in a grumpy mood, once again.

Jared frowns, "What kind of best friend are you?"

"A mean one." I comment

Jared cuffs my shoulders and shake me, "Noo.. A stubborn one. Talk to her and then I'll stop messing with you at work."

That didn't sound half bad because yesterday I was on the verge of sticking Jared's face in the toilet. He kept pranking me, and making me angry. For an example, he knew I was washing a few dishes for a little bit. Therefore, he decides to put a hair tie around the faucet sink sprayer, so that as soon as I turn on the water, water comes shooting out the sprayer onto me. When it happened, I automatically knew it was Jared. Then I go into the walk in freezer (which someone should keep the door open for you so it doesn't shut and lock up) to grab some frozen patties for the burgers, and Jared closes the door. I'm standing in a freezing cold freezer with frozen patties, pissed off. He let me stay in there for a good five minutes while I banged on the door screaming at him to let me out. My luck, those walls were sound proof, so no one heard shit I was saying. Finally after letting me out, I smashed the frozen hard patties onto his face. He left me alone for an hour and I thought the harassing was over. I was wrong. The guy flicked food at me, and embarrassed me a few times in front of customers. He was being an extra big asshole yesterday and all I could do was Thank God that today was Saturday.

I sighed, "That's a deal." We shook hands and I dialed Jaycee up. Jared sat back satisfied.

"You must be calling because you're ready to be nice now?" Jaycee questioned.

"No, I'm calling because you're sort of, kind of my best friend so I have to."

She laughed, "Missed you too. Its about time you called, I wanted to hang." I guess she wasn't that mad since she sounded extremely happy to be talking to me. Jaycee's been my best friend since Elementary, and regardless of anything I would love her no matter what.

"You should've called me instead of being stubborn." I say jokingly.

She smacks her lips, "Well you beat me!"

"Trust me, you would have beaten me if it wasn't for your boyfriend." I say looking at him for his reaction.

Both of them, at the same time, "We're not dating yet!" They shout.

"Sorry, geesh. Close enough though. Jared talks about you all the time. How he wants to eat your cookies-"

"N-" I collapse Jared's mouth with my foot, and continue talking.
