"Chop chop chop! Let's go! Busy day and you all are moving like snails!" Bryan yelled at us like we were in the military.

"Get table six, Jared. I got table three!" I shouted. He nodded and we split up.

It was such a busy day today. It was extremely hot, and every one is going to the beach. Then afterwards, stopping by the diner getting sand everywhere. I feel bad for the cleaners.

Jared and I were working the tables pretty well, so we better get credit for this.

After asking the table for their drinks, I proceeded to go get them.
Coke, Lemonade, Water, Sprite.
Coke, Lemonade, Water, Sprite.
"After you serve the table their drinks, come see me Fisher." Bryan says. I nod and walk to the table setting their drinks down.

"I'll be right back to get your order." I smiled. The family smiled and continued talking quietly among their selves about the menu. I stuffed my notepad and pen in my apron pocket, and pushed the kitchen doors open. I also saw Jared standing near Bryan. I walked up to them.

"Fisher and Chieftan, you've been doing amazing today. You came in early like I asked and been working the tables for five hours. " Boss said.

I didn't even knew its been that long. "Really?"

"Yup, you two got here at 2 and started serving tables at 2:30 PM and its going on 7:30 PM now. You're both out in an hour and a half so why don't you take a break and just clean up tables, and wherever needs cleaning. Sound good?" He asked. I looked at Jared and Jared looked at me.

He shrugged, "I don't mind."

"Me neither." The satisfaction on Boss's face was easy to notice. "You don't mind cleaning the bathrooms after closing hours do you either?"

"Nah." I said. Jared agreed.

He called out to a couple other workers and I went to the sink filling up one side with warm water. Jared cleared the trays and organized the dirty dishes. Big plates with big plates, small plates with small plates, silverware together, and butter knives alone. He's really good.

"I'll wash, you rinse and dry. Sound easier? Team work always wins the games." He said. I chuckled, and moved over so he could wash. I got my drying towel and swung it around my shoulders. We started the cycle, and it was moving fast. Even though we had a lot of plates and silverware to go through, we kept going.

I thought working with Jared was going to be hell, but its only his third day so far and he hasn't done bad whatsoever. He hasn't complained about anything, he just got the job done. Plus, he loved serving because since he was so good looking he got a great tip from the ladies. On the other hand, I loved serving too but balancing the huge trays in your hands could hurt and make your arms sore after awhile. I needed to lift. It was no problem for Jared since he was so strong. I couldn't wait for the weekend. Tomorrow was our last day until Monday, repeating all over again. Our hours were going to change once school started back up with sports also. I played Softball which was in Spring, but Jared played football. We would work from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Which meant more rest and I was excited because I love my sleep.

Water hit my face taking me out of my thoughts, "What are you in deep thought about?" Jared asked.

I swung my towel from my shoulder and whipped him with it. He jumped and winced, "Don't flick water at me!"

"That was the only way I thought would snap you out of your trance. I just wanted to know what you were thinking about. Having sex with Dylan?" He smirked.
