Just Because I Met You

Chapter 29

Jaycee bursted out the fitting room for the eleventh time in another dress as I laid lazily and wildly in the white leather chair outside of the fitting rooms.

"How do you like this one?" She asked.

I checked it out. Its a pretty aquamarine color, but shoulder straps throw it off, "Pretty color. Don't like the straps."

"Same here. I hoped you said that."

I sighed heavily, "Pick one already!"

She walked back in the fitting room, "Theres three more. I'm saving the best for last.."

"I'm so bored.." I say. I love going shopping, but not for dresses.

They're a pain in the arse.

For me, they have to be tight around the breast, fitting around the stomach, and lose around the waist. Its hard to find a dress like that, and if its not, the dress is not cute.

"Ugh, I know. Not usually your scene. So let's talk about something then.." She says.

I smile, "Ooh ooh, okay. Question.."

"Shoot."

I hesitate, "Why are you afraid to tell your parents about Jared?"

Silence fell upon us for a moment.

"How'd you know?"

I sheepishly smiled to myself, "Jared doesn't know how to whisper."

She sighed, "Its complicated. They don't want me dating any other guy than Cole."

"I don't blame them.." I mumbled quietly to myself.

"Well, tell them you found a guy that you really like and hope for the best." I say.

She came out the fitting room with a gray and white dress that stopped mid thigh, and was v cut. It was quite cute to be super casual.

"I like it." I say.

She looks in the mirror running her hands down her stomach, "You know how they are, A. I'm scared..

Thanks, I do too by the way."

I crossed my legs, "I do, Jayc. I do.. But you don't want to ruin anything, do you?"

She turned around, "Of course not. I really, really like Jared, Arianna."

"I know you do.." I roll my eyes standing up.

I tend to hear that from her a lot.

This girl falls hard for these boys then loses interest in them in the snap of a finger.

"You may not believe me. I understand because I say it a lot. But I've never said this before..  I see myself possibly being with Jared for a really long time. Like, maybe even out of high school." She says.

I freeze.

"I just don't know what it is about him.. He's imbuing."

Jaycee just said she could see herself being with Jared even when they get out of school.

I really haven't heard her talk about a guy like that before.

Its quite scary..

Those words made me so tense, and fragile at the same time.
Knowing Jared, he may even stay with her til then or even longer.
