The flash of the camera went off as I snapped the picture of Jared. I giggled. He was so happy to be taking a picture in front of a straw house.

"It looks good!" I said. He smiled and walked over, grabbing the camera out of my hands.

"This is so profile picture material on Twitter." He stated.

I laughed, "What? Oh my gosh, Jared! You sound like a girl!"

He grinned and shook his head at my comment. He turned the camera towards us, "Smile Ari."

I covered my face, "No!"

"Just smile! Say cheese!" Hr dragged on. I continued to cover my face, and chuckle.

"Just one. To remember this trip! Nothing serious!" He says.

I take my hands off of my face, "Fine."

I grin and look at the camera lens. Jared's arm drapes around my shoulders, and I freeze for a moment.
Oh what the heck.

I lean into him, and continue smiling. Once the flash goes off, and I gently shove him away.

"No need to be so tense or paranoid." He says. I roll my eyes.

Sometimes I can't stand the fact that he doesnt acknowledge the fact that we kissed, but maybe that's for the best. Maybe he acts like that because he doesn't want to remember or- I don't even know .

We continued to walk through downtown of La Romana. We were currently walking in the sand of the beach that was near down town. Many people were telling us that the sand was super soft and warm, yet they were super right.

The Dominican Republic was treating me swell, and if I could live here..I probably would. Very nice people surrounded by you everywhere.

"What's your favorite color, Fisher?" Jared randomly asks.

I look up at him, "Pardon?"

"What's your favorite color?" He repeats.

I raise my eyebrow, "Red, why?"

He held his hands up in surrender, "In just trying to make conversation."

"Oh." I say. "I'd ask you too, but Jaycee told me everything you two talked about that night she came over to see you."

He averted his attention to me quickly, "She did?"

I nodded, "From your favorite color, to sports, and even your past girlfriends."

Jared stayed silent for awhile, staring at the sand as he walked.

I felt like I had said the wrong thing, then soon felt sort of guilty. I understood. A lot of people have bad relationships and talking about them can be a sensitive topic.

"I'm sorry.." I muttered.

He looked at me confused for a second, then regained himself, "Oh no. Its okay...Just a rough topic to speak about to anyone."

I couldn't help but feel the slightest bit of offended. Why? Because it didn't seem like he had a hard time talking to a girl that he barely knew, about it.

I unfortunately had said that out loud, which sucks because now he was giving me an evil smirk.

"Jaycee?"

I cross my arms and look at the sunset. "Obviously."

Jared grabbed my jaw and turned me to him, "Why are you mad about that?"
