JARED'S POV
After football practice, we went into the locker room like usual. Some guys hit the showers, some didn't, like me.
I like my shower at the house.
These couple of days have been odd and hard.
I haven't been talking to anybody lately since the party. Not even the one person, I'm usually dying to talk to.
Arianna.
I could care less about her at the
moment, if you want me to be honest.
She hasn't even talked to me either. When I would see her in the house, she would just look at me like it was my fault that her best friend hates her.
All around though, I was annoyed with everything living and wanted all the talking about the party to be done because it was over with.
I hung my paddings up with everyone else's and threw on my sweatshirt. I was cold and soaked from the rain that we practiced in.
No matter what the weather was, Coach was not cancelling practice.
I continued to pack away my football clothes, while all the guys hooted, hollered, tussled, and talk shit like everyday. I'd usually be doing it with them, but like I said before I wasn't in the best mood.
"Chieftain, you've been quiet lately bro. Are you good?" A team mate asked.
I held up my thumb, "I'm good."
"You sure?"
And I nodded so the conversation could be done.
"Bro, Dyl. You been quiet lately too."
"Well duh. You heard about Friday night. They're both probably still shitty about it."
"I am. How are you supposed to feel when your best bro messed with your girl behind your back?" Dylan asked everyone.
I closed my eyes, and ignored it. I wasn't in the mood to argue. Not today. Dylan knows he would get fucked up if he tried anything.
"You're right. I'd be mad too."
"Not even gonna lie. Me too."
"Thank you. He just can't say anything about it because he feels bad. He hasn't even made eye contact with me, he's been dodging me on the field, and he won't even talk to me because he knows he fucked up." Dylan went on.
A couple guys laughed, "You trying to say he scared or something."
Dylan laughed, "I'm not trying. I am saying. He is scared."
Just continue ignoring, Jared. You got this.. Keep. Your. Cool.
All the guys started laughing and making chicken sounds, "You guys are fucking stupid." I commented.
"And you're a pussy. Own up to what you did and apologize like a bro would."
I threw my bag down and looked up at him.
"I'm a pussy? Yet you're talking all that shit from the other side of the locker room and not to my face." I say.
Dylan smirked, "Yes. You are, and I will come over to your side if you want. I mean..."
"No. I insist. I will." I say.
Everybody ooh'd as I began walking over to him. I stood in front of him as the guys circled us.
