"You can't do this!" The doctor yelled.
Everyone in the room gazed at him with empty eyes, the only person holding some sort of emotion was the older man in a generals uniform.
"Why not?"
"They're just teenagers!"
The general shrugged and clicked his fingers, the 10 of you all lined up and he pointed to you, and in stepped forward and saluted. You saw pure disgust and dismay in the doctors eyes.
"These teenagers are going to win us the war."
"How?! They aren't even fully trained!"
"(L/N), position two."
With a swift nod, you shifted your feet a few centimetres from each other, held on hand by your abdomen palm up, the other near your collar bone, palm down, a dark mist coming from your skin.
"Oh god.. what.. what did you do to her?!" The doctor screamed.
Standing down, you stepped back into line.
"Soldiers, positions, it's time."
Everyone got to their rightful spots and you were dropped on the battleground, Cybermen were nearly impossible to defeat, even with your powers.
You were dirty, covered in mud, dust and dried blood, your arm had a nasty gash, you had a nose bleed from over exerting yourself, and your legs wobbled.
With a small groan, you dropped to your knees and tilted your head to the sky, blank eyes staring up.
"Hello?!"
You didn't reply, frantic footsteps getting closer and closer until the doctors face loomed over yours, instantly he dropped by you and tilted your head toward him, carefully looking you over.
"What's your name?"
"(L/N)." Came your stoic reply.
"No, no, no, your first name?"
While the doctor looked over your wounds you sat in silence.
"(Y/N)."
"Are you hurt anywhere else (Y/N)?"
"No sir."
The doctor frowned but said nothing, you saw fury in his eyes, fury and pity.
"They destroyed you... took everything away from you..." he whispered.
Carefully the doctor helped you stand, wrapping your arm around his shoulder he slowly led you to the TARDIS and took you inside, sitting you on a chair as he ran off somewhere, coming back with medical supplies.
"This might hurt."
He gently dabbed something on your arm, but you hardly felt a thing.
"What did they do to you?" He asked softly.
Tilting your head up, you cocked it to the side just a little. (E/C) eyes boring into his brown ones.
"We were children thrust into war, and once it ends, what do we become?"
The doctor was speechless, he didn't know what to say, what to tell you. What would you become? He couldn't just leave you, he knew that.
"I.. I don't know, I honestly have no idea (Y/N) I'm sorry. I am so, so sorry."
"That's okay sir."
Silently the doctor bandaged your arm and you lowered it, simply just sitting there before you got up and limped towards the door.
"Where are you going?!"
"I must report back to my station."
The doctor ran in front of you, stopping you from opening in the door.
"I don't understand." You said quietly.
"I won't let you go back, you.. you can't."
"Where else am I to go? All my life I have been trained to fight the Cybermen."
The doctor frowned before quickly jumping in excitement.
"You can travel with me! Huh? What about that? You and me seeing he universe!"
Your facade fell, and your dull eyes gleamed a little which made the doctor beam even more.
"You... you would take me away...?"
"Of course! I need a new companion, and you, you need a friend."
Nodding your head, you clasped your hands behind your back.
"Okay, I shall accompany you."
"Brilliant! Let's be off then!"
The doctor rushed to the console and flicked some thing before giving you a wide grin and pulling a level.
"Allons-y!"
Padded over, you stood quietly next to the man.
"(Y/N)?"
"Yes sir?"
"I'll take care of you."
You said nothing in return and the doctors hearts broke a little, you didn't believe him.
Months passed and the doctor was still making progress with you, you spoke a little more each day, you learnt new things and showed emotion again, you padded into the control room and found the doctor messing with the console.
"Doctor?"
"(Y/N)! Brilliant! Hello!"
"Hello." You smiled softly.
He walked over and wrapped you in a huge hug, at first you tensed but you quickly relaxed and hugged back.
"What can I do for you?"
"Can we see Donna again? I like her."
"Of course!"
With that, the pair of you were off again. The doctor and his new companion.
"Thank you." You whispered.
"What ever for?"
"Giving me a new life."
The doctor and his new companion indeed, but if anyone was to ask him what he saw you as, in a heartbeat he would reply a Daughter, and you would instantly reply a father
