Standing on the beach, eyes staring off into the sunset, you smiled softly as the was crashes not far in front of you.
You weren't sure why the doctor brought you here, why he dropped Any and Rory off but asked you to stay.
He simply dropped you off then left saying he'd be back, but you didn't mind.
"(Y/N)!"
Turning, you watched the doctor run over before he adjusted his bow tie and swept some hair from his face, a large grin visible.
"Wanna tell me what this is about yet?"
"Can't I just bring my favourite companion to watch a sunset?"
Rolling your eyes, you turned back to the golden sky, and the doctor turned to you, admiring the way the light hit your skin, made your eyes sparkle, the smile on your lips, the way your hair blew a little in the breeze.
Now that he was here, his hearts beat wildly, for weeks he'd been planning what to say, now he was speechless.
"Doctor, I can feel you burning a hole in me."
"S... sorry!"
Quickly he turned away, trying to hide his red tinted cheeks.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing! Nothing! I just want to tell you something... important..."
He took a deep breath and turned to you, already finding your (E/C) gaze on him.
"Do you want to stop travelling with me?"
Instantly he shook his head, planting his hands firmly on your shoulders.
"No! No! Never!"
You laughed and smiled brightly.
"That's a relief."
The doctor smiled a little and loosened is grip, bringing a hand up to cup your cheek, and brush some hair behind your ear. His fingers trailing back down your your cheek, down your neck, shoulder, arm to reach your hand and gently he held it.
"I've known all my life, that no matter where I go I can never fall in love with anyone, that I'm not supposed to..."
Your heart dropped a little, was this him letting you down?
"But... that's a lonely life."
You felt hope well up inside of you. Bringing a hand up, you placed it over his larger one on your cheek, silently encouraging him to carry on.
The doctor opened his mouth but quickly closed it, shaking his head he quickly let go of you and started to back away.
"Never mind.. never mind it's.. it doesn't.." he stuttered, "I'll... I'll let you watch.. sunset. Yes, watch the sunset..."
The doctor turned to leave, and your heart stopped. Without thinking you spoke the first thing that came to mind.
"I may not be your first love, first kiss, first sight or first date but I want to be your last everything." You said gently.
He stopped, seemingly froze and you slowly stepped closer, then around him until you were in front. Tears welled up in his green eyes as he looked at you.
"R... really?" He asked in hope.
It was your turn to place a hand on his cheek, and you gingerly nodded. Immediately his face brightened and he hugged you, picking you up the doctor spun you in the air making you laugh along with him.
When he put you down, the doctor took your hands in hands, tears gone from his eyes, replaced with excitement.
"I have so much I want to show you! I can even have the TARDIS us our own room! We can have a date on the top of the Eiffel Tower the day it was finished construction!"
Your heart swelled at how excited he was.
"We can tell Rory and Amy!"
Laughing, you took his hand in yours and gaze it a gentle squeeze.
"I can't wait darling, but how about we watch the sunset?"
The doctor gasped and nodded.
"Yes! The sunset! You love sunsets! It's why I brought you here!"
Both of your turned to the setting sun, you you rested your head on the doctors arm, yeah it wouldn't be easy dating the doctor, especially since this reincarnation had a lot more doubts but he was your doctor and you... you were his being, his human, his saviour. To the doctor, you were his everything
