I decided to head back to the mountain until I heard someone calling for me. It was Azreal. I stopped and waved at him as he rushes toward me.
"White...Boy, am I glad seeing you here. It seems like I've been blessed by a Pantheon I know." Azreal looked tired.
"I didn't do anything, really. I just watched."
Azreal shakes his head and shakes my hand, "But you being here is already a blessing! Your blessing has made me won the battle. Plus, I now have a retainer. It's our housemate, Kallen."
"Yeah I met him during the battle."
"Oh you did?" Azreal was genuinely surprised. "Well, how did you think of him? Is he capable?"
I slowly scratched my head and nervously told him that, "Well in all honesty, he...can't really lead a force. I mean he already made a big mistake by charging into a bait that you made. By the way, that's pretty good."
"Thanks."
I continued, "Also, it seems like you are already starting to create a small settlement over here, huh. What was it called again? Was it Valen-something?"
"Valenciaga. For now it is still a small settlement. But in a few days it will be a village."
"That fast, huh? I guess the development rate is way faster than real life thanks to this AI..." I complemented the system.
"Hey, White. You seem to be wandering. Why don't you stay here in Valenciaga? You'll be treated well, don't worry."
I would accept his invitation but I told him, "Thanks for the invitation but I have some unfinished business up there at the mountain. Maybe once I'm done with that, I can come in?"
"Valenciaga is always open to you, my friend." smiled Azreal.
I bit farewell as I made myself back to the top of the mountain. Valenciaga looks promising from the looks of it. I don't really know what kind of option the Lords have on their system menu but I hope he makes a good choice when developing Valenciaga.
Once I made up top, I saw the eagle had finished eating the wolf's carcass. It looked full and refreshed. That thing could have actually just left and fly but instead it stayed and waited for me to return.
"Hey there, buddy. You waited for me, huh?" I talked to the eagle.
The eagle stared at me with a calm look. It seems to trust me. And with that, I kinda remembered that during the time I was reading the long tutorial you can actually tame wild creatures. So what I did was I extended my arm to the eagle. The plan was that in order to successfully tame a creature, you have to pet them and they must accept the pet as well. You can't force them like setting up an ambush or something. This was how the system was meant to be at least.
Empress Yumiko also pointed out how much of a nerd I am for reading all of those boring tutorial. But she was glad that I did because it ended up for the better not just for me but for her as well.
In a mere seconds, I successfully petted the eagle. A menu suddenly popped asking me to name it. I'm honestly not good with names so I decided mostly through the first good thing that I can think of. At the time, I was remembering Zenith for some reason. Maybe it's because of what she said before I left her for this competition. In conclusion, I ended up giving the eagle name as Zee. Yes, the letter Z or Zee. I typed in 'Zee' and confirmed.
After that was that, the newly named Zee flaps its wings in excitement as it suddenly launched and flew to the air. It spins around the mountain top as I looked at every maneuver it made. On the first day in Virtue, I met a little feathered friend and named it Zee.
Then, all of a sudden. A new menu popped up saying that I just acquired a class. Yes, Virtue has classes in this world. All of the Lords can decide on what class they want to be during avatar creation. As for the Pantheon, we can't do that because we aren't really the 'player' but we can however unlock a class if we do certain task. This also goes the same for the Lords. Yes, they can change their class if they feel like it. So in the end there's not much of different except for the rough start. But then again, I've read that our class skill for Pantheon are much more powerful than the Lords variant. I guess that's a given.
I accepted the menu and it said that I not only just unlocked a class but two different classes. The Scout and The Hunter. That's interesting. Two in a single activity. Which means, I can use much more special skills than anyone else in Virtue at the time.
With all of that was done, I headed down to Valenciaga and decided to stay there for the time being. Nothing much happen in between except for a little training. Oh yeah, Valenciaga eventually become a small city with wooden walls surrounding it in a span of a week.
Heard that right, it was not until a week later until the next inciting incident begin. This time, I could smell smokes coming in...
