As the noise started to get louder from below. A wild barrage of arrow suddenly rained down to the side of the mountain.

"What the hell." I swore to the situation. "Are the AIs defective or something? Their aiming sucks. Either that, or it was a test shot."

It didn't almost shot me. It was too far but it was an embarrassment. I looked back at the dying wolf and found out that it was already gone. The eagle was safe. It was still lying down as it looked at me in the eye. The bird really don't want to look away from me and it is probably because it was curious of my behaviour.

"Bird, just stay there." I decided to talk with the eagle. "I'll go down in a bit and see what the heck is going on. In the meantime, enjoy the meat. You're probably starving." I smiled at the eagle and carefully head down the mountain.

It wasn't a difficult task scaling down the mountain as there were roads leading up to the top of this place. Which made me believe that this mountain is probably a public place. I don't really know anything else about the tree but as far what Empress Yumiko is telling me through her story, this was basically it.

After finally reaching nearing the foot of the mountain I could see two different flags waving about the small battlefield in front of me.

"Let's see..." I stopped and analyzed the situation. "We just started the game like half an hour ago and we already have a skirmish."

I don't really know how quick you can create more units of AI but I doubt it would be that quick. Looking at the battle, it wasn't large scale at all and I bet it's the starting amount of AI the lords were given.

"100 against 100. Actually...101 against 101 if we include the lords."

I said that but some of the AI units had already fallen to the floor. This is another interesting tidbit about Virtue. Although they are AIs, their body won't be disintegrated instantly. The disintegration were delayed so that it can simulate a real battlefield where a bunch of soldiers can be seen, dead on the floor.

I laughed, "I don't know if the developer of Virtue are either sick or they are just being realistic. But then again, we're no longer under age."

Then out of nowhere, a horse can be seen charging toward me. It alerted me as I readied my stance. But as soon as the horse was getting near me, it started slowing down. Then, I saw a lord. The first lord I encountered in this adventure. It was one of my housemates, Kallen Lonn.

Kallen stops his horse and shouted, "White! I didn't know you were nearby!"

"Kallen? You already have a horse?" That was the first thing I asked.

He replied, "It was the very first thing I procured through the Lord Menu. It took half an hour just to get this single horse by the way."

"I see...Who are you fighting against, anyway?"

"You know him very well, White. It's your housemate, Azreal. He has a small little settlement set up."

A small settlement? Looks like my housemate, Azreal seems to know a little bit about how to begin this whole thing. Kallen on the other hand...

"So...it was you who attacked him?"

Kallen sounded surprised, "What do you mean by that, White? Of course I attack. Isn't that the point of this competition?"

"Well yeah but..."

But before I was able to finish, Kallen said, "Enough of that, I need to go back in battle. Just wait over there, White."

Kallen then rushes back to the battlefield. Besides that, what I was trying earlier was something that he should of kept in mind. Which is, attacking first doesn't sound like a brilliant idea for a competition like this. But I didn't really care much. So what I did after that?

I watched the whole thing. And as expected, it begins falling apart the moment I know how the skirmish started. In short, Kallen made a really bad decision for attacking immediately with only 100 AI. Although Kallen has the ability to turn into a reptilian creature, he was already surrounded by his enemy at that point.

You see, Azreal wasn't even attacking. He lured the enemy into his settlement. Most of Azreal's AIs was hiding in the tent. Kallen knew that but what he didn't know was that Azreal had made a trap right in the center of the small settlement. Azreal had dug a hole and he hid the hole. What happened later, almost half of Kallen's men fell down to hole. It wasn't a death blow for those fallen to the traps though. Azreal only made a deep hole. Disabling half of his enemy from fighting.

As soon as that happened, Azreal and his men got out of their tent and began surrounding Kallen and his men. One by one, they all fell to the hole as they were being pushed into it. Kallen was then surrounded by blades at his throat. Behind him was the deep hole that Azreal made.

The short lived Kallen's army was completely defeated by the promising lord, Azreal. The death count for this battle was 0 to 3. Azreal lost three AI thanks to the surprising initial attack. But he now earns his first victory.

So what happened next? Azreal asked him if he would like to join his army. Kallen does not have any other choice but to follow him. Azreal then raised his signature weapon, his scythe to the air as he shouted.

"Victory to Valenciaga!"

His AIs followed suit. And there you go, Azreal had declared the name of his force, The Valenciaga. At that moment, Azreal had only amassed 197 AIs and a horse. Slowly, he will build the settlement into something bigger. However, my day was not over yet unfortunately. There was still something else I needed to do before I rest.
