As we face to face against each other, the sounds of war can be heard in the background. I was finally able to fully control my true dragon powers without it going frantic. All it takes was a dose of determination and hope.

"Let's end this battle at once, Cyclone White!" Memento summoned his final waves of minions.

I didn't make a move as the minions approaches me. Once they were within my range, I immediately stop the time. From what I was able to recall, I totally stop time. Not in just a small space, but almost like the entire battlefield was stopped in place. My time stopping range has been drastically improved from the looks of it. I decided to test out another ability.

In a moment, I was immediately teleported to the Nova Crystalist camp that was safekeeping the mortar. In this fractured time that I have, I took the opportunity to grab said mortar and teleport back to my original location.

Once I'm back, I aimed the mortar upward so that it will destroy the mortar itself. I pulled the trigger and continued the time as I moved to a safe distance. The mortar fired above until its cannon finally came back down to a confused hordes of minion. The cannon falls into the mortar as it causes a massive explosion, destroying the mortar as well as eliminating the minions.

"That was my last of my minions and you already defeat them all just like that..." Memento sounded restless.

"It's over for you, Memento." I told him.

However, he replied, "This is only the beginning, White. Pretty soon, you will have to find a way to rely on more than just your close friends..."

"...what?" I was confused.

Memento then ran toward me as he raised his arm preparing to punch me. I was able to block his punch by capturing his hand. I tried to hold it off but apparently even his strengths was amazing. While that was going on, Memento used his other hand to take me out but I quickly blinked myself behind him as I quickly grazed his back with my dagger.

"Got you!"

He then replied, "Just a scratch won't kill me!"

"You asked for it, Memento!" I held my dagger tightly as a burst of wind was released from me.

I blinked and blinked as many times as possible while also attacking Memento. I blinked all over his directions. Front, left, right, behind, above and even below. Memento was only able to take on a defensive stance as this entire barrage of slashes were happening. I picked up the pace as I paused the time once again and continued to slash him all over his armor. High intensity slashing was done through my prized dagger to the point that the dagger itself started to glow. Time resumes as I witnessed an exhausted Chaos Champion.

"You've done well..." said the Chaos Champion. "But I'm still here standing..."

Then I told him, "You won't be standing any longer after I'm done."

I looked at my dagger and realized what was going on with it. This happened before and I definitely remember how it went. It happened way back when I finally started using the dagger during my birthday. With it, I was able to save my friends. And this time as well, I'll be saving them.

I slash the air when suddenly a visible cut can be seen been created by my air slashes. It created a rift in space. The small ripped rift then turns larger and all I could see inside was void. The rift then suddenly began to absorb anything in front of it like it was a mini black hole. I stabbed my dagger to the ground to keep myself alive but The Chaos Champion Memento on the other hand was quickly sucked into the void. Memento was trying his best to break free.

"I'll be seeing you later, Cyclone White!" promised Memento as the rift closes.

The dust had settled in as I was slowly losing my dragon power.

"I'm the one who'll write my own damn story, Memento." I sat down resting. "Now everyone in here will remember what they are supposed to do."

With the last of my remaining dragon powers, I teleport myself back to Violet's main camp.

"Memento has been defeated, your excellency." I told Yumiko.

"Are you sure?"

I replied, "Yes, I'm sure."

"Then tell me, Lord White...Was it also you who stopped the mortar?"

"Yes. That I did." I nodded. "We can stop the war now I think."

"Lord White...what are you talking about? Now is our chance to defeat Nova Crystalist. Their single defeat will landslide tenfold once we lay siege on their capital later."

"Wait...you mean, you were truly intending to invade the enemy?"

"Not invade, White. But conquer them. Although our biggest problem is over for the time being. This whole competition is not over yet unfortunately."

I sighed as I said, "Alright then...if that's the case..."

I decided that it was time for me to take on an initiative for myself.

"I'm resigning." I told her.

"What?"

"I'm resigning, your excellency. My work here is done. You've help me this far and I helped you this far. Our mutual agreement has been achieved."

Yumiko then tried stop me, "But there is still one more Chaos Champion out there!"

"Out there...That's the thing. We still can't get out of this world and I'm sure you won't be the one who knows what to do next."

"Are you sure about this, White?" The Empress gave me my last chance.

"Yes. Our deal is done. Thank you for your patronage, Empress Yumiko." I bowed down in respect. "Oh and one more thing, Yumiko. Although they aren't really alive...those AIs definitely believed in you...and considering what you did to half of your soldier...I think my decision to leave is absolute."

I left the main camp tent and grabbed a horse. I looked back at the main camp and saw Yumiko fuming in anger as she realizes that she has lost a valuable asset in her force. I left the camp as soon as I could.

Although Memento has been defeated. The conquest for Virtue remains at stake as the lords of the realm continues to wage war against each other. While they all frantically fight to see who is among them considered to be the best leader, I will continue to observe as I originally was supposed to. Besides that, I also need information about The Virtual Dive considering that the threat hasn't subsided yet especially when the enemy is still managing all of us outside of this machine we are all currently in. Until then, my next move was to go to the nearest capital, Nova Crystalist and find a safe spot temporarily. Here's hoping that I'm not the only one who are trying to put a stop against the attacks from these Chaos Champions...
