Let's go back by about...moments before the intended part...
So basically, Azreal and I just used one of our best spells fighting against the never ending numbers of AIs. Best of our current limitations, of course. To be perfectly honest, after weeks of getting used to Virtue, I finally remembered that most of my abilities are far weaker than the times I had or felt whenever I use it in the real world. I guess I can assume that Virtue kind of suppressed our magic to certain degree. Hence why even Sam's Absolute Order was fairly weaker that it couldn't even reach me, Azreal or Yumiko.
That being said...Having most our ''suppressed' best spells being exhausted toward the endless amount of enemies, we find ourselves once again breathing exponentially a lot.
"There's too many of them..." Azreal was catching his breath.
Same goes for me as I slowly replied to him, "You're...right...even the other guys have...tapped out from the looks of it." I looked over the kingdom's walls.
Most of the rest of Goblin Gang were resting, lying on the floor. Even with a solid strategy, we still don't have the right amount of number to actually secure this battle. The enemy kept sending us an endless amount of AIs towards. It was as if they are still being manufactured at this very moment.
And so, another waves has reached upon our vision. Being the only two people left standing against the waves of uncontrollable AIs, I prayed to The Great Will for whatever is about to come. And just as did that, it either could be divine intervention, deus ex machina or even a mere coincidence, my prayers were answered.
Multiple laser beams strikes down like lightning all over Virtue. I was able to notice that it was even striking down as far as Violet Empire, which was at the furthest end of Virtue from here. The beams demolished a huge chunk of the AIs. It was way bigger than the beams that Danielle have been using all these times. It was comparatively destructive as it annihilate the enemy.
Then the dark cloud begins to open up as a shining bright light as if an angel had come to save us all. Except that it was not an angel. But it was just a little silver streaked girl that goes by name of Zenith Feathers. Looks like she finally found where we were hidden. I also noticed that there was an 'admin' word above her head which means that she probably has some strange powerful abilities at her disposal now because I'm quite sure Zenith could never launch a nation-wide laser strike.
She slowly glides down toward our position. From down here, I could already see her face starting to melt up as she tries to stop herself from crying. Zenith gently falls to my arms as we finally hug each other and reunited once again.
"What took you so long." I joked. "It's been months inside of here..."
"Months? It's only been a eight hours for me." She told me.
Then I told her, "I think that's about right. Haven't seen real life for eight weeks already."
"We don't have much time, White." she pushes me.
"What is it?" I asked.
She explained to us, "the server is overloading with too many request of creating more new AIs. The more you destroy them the faster it overloads."
Azreal then joined, "And what happens if it overloads?"
"The entire server will crash. It also means that the plug will be pulled and there will be no way for us to live any longer. The Full Dive technology have been sabotaged so that it won't even save any of these data inside a backup storage. We have to stop fighting!"
"But you just destroyed a bunch of them just now..." I told her.
"That?" she explained, "I wasn't destroying it. It was a delete program. I merely deleted them, slowing down the process of overloading the server."
