MERCURYS POV.

It all started when the window glass shattered.

That was when I knew he was coming.

One of Angelos men tackled me to the ground, while the rest shot at whoever else was shooting.

Soon enough, every window was shot out.

All I could hear, was the sound of guns, and bodies hitting the floor.

"Stay down." The guy who was covering me the entire time got off.

He was only standing for maybe three seconds tops when a bullet went through his head.

I yelped and jumped back as blood splattered on the floor.

  "Let's go!"

Even more men were coming into the apartment.

If only they were apart of my actual family.

Two of them roughly grabbed me by the arms, and stood me up.

"Putting your hands on a child? Really? You must have no balls. A doctor could help with that you know." I fought back.

"Put her down boys." I figure came around the corner, holding a-

Ribbon?

"You're not getting away with this." I warned.

He laughed, and circled me, much to my discomfort.

It was hard to even look anywhere else because of the poor people on the floor.

"Oh dear step-child. I already have." He began to wrap the ribbon around my hair.

What the hell?

"You look like your mother when your hair is shorter."

  ANGELOS POV.

I coughed as my vision came back to me.

   What the hell happened?

My sides aches as I stood up, surveying everything that had occurred.

  Shit.

"Gino?" I called out to him.

  "Over here!" He groaned.

He was under a car door.

"What the hell happened?" I asked as I helped him up.

"The last thing I remember is an explosion. Which explains the...dead people." He said slowly, looking around.

A few more people were beginning to wake up, but not nearly as many as there should be.

"You've got a pretty mean cut right there brother." He motioned to my head.

"I'm fine. If we were here, then-,"

We both stopped and stared at each other.

Fuck.

"Let's go!"

Blood.

That's the only word I could use to describe what I was seeing.

Not broken glass.

Not a broken home.

Not even death.

It was simply just...

Blood.

My floors were practically flooded in the liquid.

My windows were shattered.

And my child was not waiting at the front door.

She wasn't in her room, my room, or the kitchen.

  She was nowhere.

"Angelo, wh-,"

I had been eyeing one of my kitchen cabinets. It was the one that held all of the glass.

"What are you-,"

I chucked a glass bowl a little too close to his head.

"Jesus Angelo!" He yelled as I threw another one.

"She's gone!" This time I threw a plate.

"Yes, I can see that but throwing things isn't going to help!"

"Bullshit it won't!" I picked up a serving dish.

But, then I paused.

It was Mercurys favorite plate in the house.

She thought that when it hit a light, it made the prettiest rainbow effect.

"Where did they take her?" I set the plate down.

"Mom, Dad, Leah, Enzo and Ricky are on their way. We can't do anything until we think things rationally."

"How the fuck am I supposed to think things through rationally? Mercury is gone! My child is gone!" I grabbed him by the shirt.

I didn't want rationalized thinking.

I wanted her back.

"And you think killing me is the best option?"

"How the fuck are you being so calm right now?!" I unleashed my grip, making him stumble back slightly.

"One of us has to be sane right now Angelo. You can't find your kid, I can't find my niece. Yeah, it's fucked up. But it's going to be even more fucked up if we just sit around, and blame each other."

"Boys!"

I guess they are here.

I looked up.

"Oh my god." Mom covered her mouth as she tried not to trip over the, I don't even know how many, dead bodies on the floor.

"I wanted to make sure that there was extra people around her for any reason. I guess that didn't last long enough." I motioned at the soon to be rotting bodies, my voice completely void of emotion.

"Where is everyone?" Gino asked.

"Enzo and your father are already talking to everyone. And Leah should be here soon. Any minute now." She was using the same voice as she did when I was a kid. When I used to cry because of the monster under my bed, and she would come in and soothe me enough to make me fall asleep.

"Angelo, come on, talk to me." She rubbed my back.

I stayed silent.

"Jesus. What happened to the two of you? You look like-,"

"Like we have been in an explosion?" Gino finished Leahs sentence.

I didn't even notice she was here.

"Well, yes. What happened? Where's the child?"

"That's what we are trying to figure out Leah."

"Well, dear sister in law, excuse me for asking."

Now is so not the time.

"No. This isn't happening." I stood up.

"What are you-,"

"One of the most important people in this family is missing. The two of you need to stop this petty, bullshit bickering already." I snapped.

The looked at each other for a few moments.

Mom sighed.

"Angelo, you need to trust that we will get her back."

"Which is why we need to stick together."
