Chapter 3 - Aph x Aaron

"Welcome to where you'll be staying." Rachel announces.

The group stares, wide eyed and slack jawed as they take in the mansion's inners. To the right of them is a kitchen with white cabinets and white quartz countertops as well as quartz backsplash. The appliances are stainless steel, as is the stool legs in front of the bar-island. They are patted with a light gray fabric on the tops of the steel legs. To their left is a living room embellished with a light gray couch, a white coffee table that sits in front of the couch, two end tables with blue lamps sit on either side of the couch —it's an L shaped picked out by Rachel when she and Melissa went on a shopping spree— and a seventy-two inch flat screen television rests on the wall facing the couch.

Straight ahead of them is a dining table and stairs across from the table, leading upstairs to the bedrooms.

"Mrs.Lycan, I don't know what to say..." Lucinda trails off, as her crimson eyes stare effortlessly at the beautiful rooms in front of her.

Rachel smiles. "Just say thank you. You are my son's friends and so, as his friends, you all get to stay here." she explains.

"Sweet!" Travis yells, as he runs up the white stairs.

"Did Aaron already pick his room?" Kim asks aloud.

"Yes. It's the room that says Aph x Aar. Melissa wrote that on their door so everyone knows what room is theirs." Rachel laughs.

"Good to know." Zane mutters.

He takes KC's right hand and drags her up the stairs, leaving Kim, Lucinda, and Katelyn all alone in the foyer. Their suitcases stand beside each woman, their friends all rushed upstairs, excluding Garroth. He took a stroke down the street in front of the beach house.

Three months later.

"Aph, hold still!" a raven haired werewolf man shouts, as he struggles to keep her still.

"Aaron! I'm slipping—" Aph yells back and slips, falling into Aaron's strong arms.

He puts her down as the couple stand back, taking in the work they just did. Aaron walks up to the table and taps it gently. "You know, Aph. Mel will definitely scream." he notes.

Aphmau giggles in agreement. "Agreed, Melissa will scream. Especially when she finds out what we did..." she smiles at Aaron.

He smiles back. "Yeah." he says.

"This is gonna be some surprise!" Aphmau shouts, excitedly.

The two share a brief kiss on the lips before they depart for the beach house. As they walk up the pathway, hands intertwined, Aaron's parents and sister stand at the doorway.

He immediately lets go of Aphmau's hand, dropping the intertwinement.

"Where have you been?" his father, Derek, asks.

"Helping Aphmau with something." Aaron answers.

"Something now?" Melissa singsongs. "Like what bro?" she adds.

"Something you'll find out soon." Aaron tells her, as she jumps up in excitement.

"I can't wait!" she shouts.

"Now, dear, be nice." Rachel says, directing it towards her husband.

"Fine. But you better not get her pregnant. We don't need another Ultima to worry about." Derek mutters.

While nobody can hear what he mutters, Aaron and Aphmau have an idea as to what it was because they both blush massively.

If only they knew....

"Right! Well, we're gonna head inside...and make some....food!" Aaron stutters, as he pushes Aphmau forward.

He closes the door with his foot behind her, as the two then sigh.

"If only they knew..." Aphmau mutters.

"Yeah. To think, my dad doesn't want another Ultima roaming the streets. There could still be an Ultima, if we have a son...the first born son gets the curse. That's how this works." Aaron explains.

Aphmau nods. "Yeah. Maybe if we do, we could keep him a secret from your parents. We could tell our friends and Melissa." she suggests.

"Maybe." Aaron responds. "I don't think it's going to be a boy." he blurts out.

"What do you mean?" Aphmau asks him, confused.

"I think it might be a girl...we can only hope." Aaron mumbles.

"So, I'm not even a month in and you're already playing guesses as to the gender?!" she yells, by accident.

"I know. I'm sorry, Aph." he apologizes, as he kisses her cheek.

"Soon. We'll be married soon, and raising this child as the best parents we can be." Aaron says, smiling at Aphmau.

She smiles softly. "Yeah, soon." she says.

Melissa has a job. According to her brother, she has to gather all of his friends and their parents to tell them something. She grins, was it something big? Like a weddding? Oh, wait, they're already engaged...or...Melissa holds back a fangirl like scream.

"AHHHHHHH!" she screams.

She has a Cheshire Cat-like grin on her face. She knows what it is and can barely contain herself.

So, instead, she sits on the floor with Lucinda beside her. She looks up on the couch and sees Katelyn and Travis sitting near each other. Zane and KC sat beside Katelyn. Her parents stand beside the couch while her brother and his fiancée stand at the front.

"We have something we need to tell you." Aaron says.

He gives Aphmau a small smile before taking her right hand in his left.

"Like what?" Garroth asks.

He had come back from his long stroll he does daily and has nestled himself beside Kim. His blonde werewolf ears and tail sway gently back and forth.

Aphmau turns her head to the right and sees Lucinda petting Melissa's ears. Zane was doing the same with KC, and Katelyn and Travis just lay in the of each other's arms. Kim is petting Garroth's soft wolf ears as well.

"Why is everyone petting them?" she whispers to Aaron.

He shrugs. "I don't know." he whispers back.

"Anyways..." Aaron looks towards Aphmau.

"I'm pregnant." she whispers.

All hell breaks loose. The minute she says those two words, Derek storms over to Aaron and drags him away. Melissa screams in utter delight as Lucinda tries to calm her down by telling her reassuring words. Garroth and Kim smile as do Zane and KC. Katelyn scowls at Aaron, who comes back with a frown. As for Travis, he smiles at Aphmau and Aaron, just happy for them.
