Chapter 16

"That's final then, my room Mr. Rogers." Peter said.

Steve's POV:

I don't know where this will head to but I have to grab this opportunity and talk to Peter about Tony and the whole proposal thing. I am stressed, though I know that he will hardly be against it.

'So, how have you been?' Peter started.

'I..umm, I have been doing good except all the drama and missing you part.' I replied smiling.

'I know it was hard, for Tony and for you, especially when you didn't even know about it.' Peter said.

'Yeah, but Tony blamed me and he was very uspet when I decided to come back after the mini bucky adventure and I will never forget the day when he actually pushed me away. I literally thought that was my last day here in this world.' I said looking at my fingers.

'You know, he can be a drama queen sometimes right? But he becomes more of a drama queen when it comes to you.' Peter replied smirking.

This kid actually talks sense some of the times and most of the times he is just talking something which goes beyond my understanding.

'Yeah, I know but then for the last few days everything has been better and a lot dreamy, also I needed your permission for something Peter and I wouldn't take a step without you accepting it though I kind of made a mistake by telling Tony about it indirectly.' I said.

'I actually know what you are talking about, yeah I mean I know I am dumb most of the times but this is like totally clear because you guys and your feelings are all over the place.' Peter replied laughing.

'I know Peter that you have always been more close to Tony and obviously you love and trust him more than anyone or any one of us so I thought that it would be wrong if I didn't ask you about it.' I said smiling.

'Come on, that's not true, I love Tony and all non Tony people the same.' Peter replied smiling.

All I could do was start laughing at that reply.

'Mr. Rogers, umm Captain America, umm Sir or should I just start calling you Pops?' Peter asked smiling nervously.

'You can call me anything you want to Peter but I feel Pops would be definitely my favourite out of those.' I replied smiling.

'You know right that everyone here thinks that I love Tony more than anyone heck even more than you right?' He asked nervously.

'You don't have to be nervous Peter, you don't have to feel bad for loving Tony more than anyone, I mean who wouldn't love that tiny man when he is like the whole package with smartness, looks and intelligence?' I said blushing.

'Your blush is really something I didn't think I would see so early Pops.' Peter said smiling.

I would be lying if I don't confess that the word Pops from his mouth really melt my heart and it made me feel as if that was the thing which was missing in my life.

'Also, before anything else, I really want to tell you a few things.' He continued.

'I don't know why people think that I am only close to Tony and I only love Tony the most because clearly I admire you so much! I mean if not anything else you were the one I always looked upto. You were like my superhero, you know the one we want to be like? When I first saw you, I never even knew what I would say and hence I stuttered! But Steve, hell no! POPS! I want you to know that I love you as much as I love Tony and you mean the world to me too. I know that no one talks about how you felt when I came back but trust me! I know, even they know! And Pops, you have my permission for anything and especially for Tony because you both deserve the best in the world, not only won't you make him happy and I know he is the only one who would make you and keep you happy. As much as I want him to be happy, I want you to be happy as well.' Peter said smiling.

The words that he said made me speechless would be an understatement because it clearly brought tears to my eyes. I wasn't weak but when it comes to this small kid and My stupid, idiotic tiny man, I am weak and I won't even deny it.

I smiled and I could sense that he was also too weak and nervous after the speech he made!

'I just want you to know that I love you so much Peter and you are my kid, obviously not just mine and even Tony's, please don't tell him I just made a mistake by saying 'my' orelse he will kill me.' I said laughing making the whole situation a bit light.

'You will be the best Pops, I know and obviously Tony is waiting for it so please propose him soon orelse he might just kill you or worse date someone else infront of your eyes to literally burn you.' Peter said laughing.

'I know right? Tony is dangerous, though I am not scared of him.' I said smiling nervously.

'Absolutely, you are not.' Peter replied smirking.

I just laughed and shaked my head seeing him smirking.

'I think I should just get going and catch-up with Nat and Bucky because they would probably kill me if I don't and ofcourse Tony will be impatient as well because I am keeping you away from him for so long.' Peter said laughing.

'Oh he won't be, you know he isn't that impatient.' I replied just when I heard my phone beep.

Ofcourse it would be Tony!! As I saw his last message, I felt Peter peeping at our chat!

'Why doesn't he have any emoji beside his name? That's just such a boring way of saving your boyfriend's name.' he said.

'He is not my boyfriend and I don't know how to use an emoji?' I said.

'Firstly, not your boyfriend yet and Oh my God, what?' he replied with utter disbelief in his tone.

'Yeah I mean, teach me?' I said smiling sheepishly.

'OBVIOUSLY!' He literally screamed.

It took us another 15mins because I finally learnt the whole concept of emojis, thanks to Peter!

I saw Peter heading towards the door, yawning! He must be tired!
Before he could leave I stopped him.

'Wait Pete! Do you know what's thinking out loud and Ed Sheeran?' I asked a bit lost.

He was surprised for a second and then started laughing.

'Smh!!!!' He said and turned towards the door to leave!!

Now what is Smh? What is with these terms?? Urghh!! I will never freaking (language!) Sorry! Never ever understand.

Soooooo, As I promised, I am early!!😂😂 Also, this part is completely for the love I have for Pete and Steve because their relationship is extremely underrated!! I feel they deserve some love too!!😭😭😭 Anyway, we will get back to Stony scenes relax!! Be patient!!😂😂😂
