"Gallant"

"Hey," I started. "What's your name?" Much to my surprise, I asked the bunny without faltering. It was better to ask him then keep calling him bunny mascot.

As usual, he had that never ending smile that disturbed me to the core. "You can call me Glitchtrap!" His voice cheery, like he was speaking to a small child. I furrowed my eyebrows questioning the name he had given me. The more I learned about this guy, which was really only his 'name,' the more I dreaded being near him. He just didn't sit well with my stomach. Like seriously-- why would they name a mascot Glitchtrap?

"Glitchtrap? Strange name, I think I'm gonna keep calling you bunny man, sir," said Karson bluntly. I could tell Max was about ready to yell at him and so was Jaylie, but fortunately for Karson, they were interrupted  by a high feminine voice.

"Ah! Hello! Mr. Max, we've set the cake and your pizzas on the table over there!" She pointed to a table  close enough to the stage that it'd make me uncomfortable. I kept a straight face, so not to show how uncomfortable I was feeling.

"Oh, yes! Thank you, Miss Gretchen." Max beamed brightly.

"It was nothing, and," she looked at me, "happy birthday! So glad you came here." I put on a fake smile to show her a thanks. She nodded and went off to whatever else she had to do.

"Bunny man, why are you still here anyway?" Karson suddenly asked Glitchtrap. Karson was brave, you could hardly tell when he was scared of something because he never really showed it. I was kinda embarrassed that he was braver than me, and I was suppose to be. I was the adult..

"Why? Well, I'm here to make sure she has a good birthday! I'm not leaving until I'm satisfied!" His smile seemed to widen.

"Hm, alrighty, but don't try anything funny.. I'm watching you!" Karson warned. Max grabbed onto his shoulder to get his attention.

"Karson come here, Jaylie and I need to talk to you." Max dragged him away with Jaylie.

They left me alone with him. We locked eyes and for some reason I couldn't look away. I gulped quietly. "You seem a bit nervous around me! Why is that?" He inched closer to me as he spoke.

"I'm not.." I paused for a moment, "n-nervous.." This was embarrassing, seriously and frightening. I was too close to this guy. I bet he could hear my heart beat loud and clear, too.

"Really? Then why stutter?" His voice became deeper, like the voice I heard earlier. A chill ran up my spine and I was quick to unlock eyes with him, luckily. I looked to the floor and fiddled with my fingers.

"I..I don't know, it's j-just..-" I was interrupted by Jaylie.

"Come on birthday girl, we gotta eat!" She said before dragging me to the table. Glitchtrap followed along, unfortunately. I wish he didn't, but he did say he wasn't leaving until he was satisfied. I wondered when that would be though.

I placed myself next to Karson and Glitchtrap placed himself next to me. Did he really have to... I sighed mentally. This was getting way more uncomfortable than it already was.

"You really were serious, bun- Glitchtrap?" Karson asked him.

"Yes! Of course I was serious." His voice was higher than ever that I almost covered my ears. Karson hummed in response.

Max grabbed a slice of pizza, placed it in a plate and handed it to me. "Birthday girl gets her food first." He grinned. I placed it in front of me. I didn't know if I could eat with Glitchtrap just staring at me, or because of how close we were to the animatronics. I had to though, I didn't want them to have wasted the food just because I was paranoid and scared of this place.

Karson, Jaylie, and Max had a plate in front of them which I hadn't realized. Guess I was lost in thought. "You gonna eat?" Karson asked Glitchtrap. He really liked to question him I'd guess.

"No, thank you! No food for me."

"Oh."

I grabbed my pizza and hesitantly took a bite into it. It wasn't bad at all, but I still didn't have the appetite to actually enjoy it properly. "Pretty good, I haven't had their pizza in so long.." I said.

"Of course it's good! No way would we give out terrible pizza, right?" Glitchtrap responded.

"W-Well, yeah.." I mumbled, but loud enough that they'd all here. I glanced at the cake they had for me. The icing's design was of the four animatronics, Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy. I wondered if it was even any good.

I silently ate whilst Karson, Max, and Jaylie started talking to each other. Glitchtrap was also silent which really unnerved me. I had glanced at him a few times and all he would is widen that dreadful never-ending grin.

"No! Of course I don't like her, she's so dumb!" Karson said with a tainted red face, he covered it with his hands. I laughed lightly.

"Sure, sure. If you thought she was stupid and you didn't like her, why invite her over?" Max smirked.

"I.. well, uh.." Karson couldn't find anything to answer with. I laughed once again.

My good mood soon ended though when Glitchtrap decided to place his hand on mine. I glanced at him with furrowed eyebrows. "W-What are you.." I whispered to him.

"Could I ask you something, birthday girl?" He said with the creepiest tone I'd ever heard come out of his mouth. I hesitantly nodded. "Good, I was going to ask either way." He giggled he then stopped mid way.

"Will you trust me?"
