"Gallant"

¤▪¤

As I tried to calm myself, the man flashed the light of the door where the animatronic was to see it was gone. He sighed in relief before opening the door back up.

"Now," He said as he faced me, "What are you doing here? You know you're trespassing, correct?" He said.

"I. . ." I paused. There was a long silence before I spoke up again. "I know I shouldn't be here, but I'm the reason she's missing and I need to find her."

The man furrowed his eyebrows. "She? Who are you talking about?"

Right. Of course I had to explain to him what happened. I mentally facepalmed. "I had came here earlier in the day for my birthday, yes I know I'm probably too old for this place, but that's where my friends invited me," I coughed lightly before continuing, "Anyway, a kids missing because of me and I need to find her! I need to! It's all my fault she's gone!"

I could tell he still had many questions, but he didn't. He was looking at the cameras and I wondered if he even listened to what I said. He then placed the tablet down and let out a small breath of relief. "Now," he started before making eye contact with me, "Explain to me what happened. Would you? Did you see the kidnapper by any chance? How do you even know the kidnapper brought the kid anywhere in here?"

"I did see this kidnapper. In fact, we talked some. Since it was my birthday he wanted me to have a "good time." Ahem, anyway, he was strange and honestly terrifying even though he hadn't really done anything. I just had this guy feeling something was wrong with him. I came with three other people, two of my friends and a sibling of one of them. Karson, the young one told me he had noticed the kidnapper, he called himself Glitchtrap.." The guy stopped me.

"Glitchtrap?" He repeated with wide eyes. I nodded slowly, confused by his reaction to the name. It felt like he knew something. He sat there for a moment in complete silence, looked at the cameras and closed the right door. He then motioned for me to continue.

It took me a moment to continue. "As I was saying, Karson said he saw Glitchtrap bringing the little girl, Avery into a room. Being pretty dumb," I laughed dryly, "I went in the room by myself. I.. she wasn't in there, or I just didn't see her in there. There was only him." I trembled at the memory. Once again he was silent, and along the way he had opened the right door.  "Do you know who this Glitchtrap is?"

"It doesn't matter. Just.." he paused, "...You really shouldn't have come here this late. It's dangerous. The animatronics are not safe to be near at this time, but I understand." As he spoke he had looked at the cameras once again. "I'll help you find the girl, but we won't be able to do this so late."

"What do you mean? Then how.." I started to question before shutting up. I noticed he was going to answer.

"We'll meet later when the place opens." He answered. "And do not come back here after 11 P.M. Okay? As I've said-"

I narrowed my eyes and interrupted him. "-The animatronics are dangerous, yes, I understand. I won't." I had so many questions, but I kept them to myself. I'd have to ask later. For now I would just sit here and let him do whatever he has to do.
