"Gallant"

¤▪¤

A noise I didn't recognized could be heard all throughout the room, but it was like no one else heard it. I placed my hands over my ears to block out the unbearable noise, but to no avail. The bunny mascot's smile seemed to widen more then it should. For a reason I could not comprehend he and the noise was all I could focus on.

"[F/N?" It was low, but someone was calling out my name. They repeated it. "[F/N]!?"

I was grasped by the shoulders and shooken almost violently.

The noise stopped.

I blinked a phew times.

"Hey! Are you okay?"

"Y-yeah, I think so." I responded quietly, still trying to figure out what happened. "I-I don't know what just happened..." I continued to mutter words I didn't even understand myself.

"I think you should sit down for a moment." The bunny suggested with the same smile from earlier creating unwanted shivers from me. Jaylie nodded and led me to a seat and told me to sit. I did so.

"You alright, big sis?" Max's younger brother asked worriedly, his name was Karson. I smiled at him softly. He took the hint. He placed himself in the chair beside me. "Maybe you should go home, you look terrible!" He yelled a bit too loud for my liking.

"Wow, thanks.." I giggled whilst punching his shoulder playfully. He was 12 years old, and I had known him since he was about three years old, so we were, in fact, very close. He was like a little brother to me.

"No, he might be right, " said Max. "Did you catch the coronavirus or something?" I know it was suppose to be a joke and that is why I couldn't help but laugh. I shrugged my shoulders and rolled my eyes.

"No, I didn't. If I did, you'd all have it too now, though." I smiled sweetly. I was keeping a watchful eye on this creep of a bunny "mascot." I couldn't tell if he knew or not, but his gaze didn't travel anywhere else but towards me or so I thought. It wasn't like I could actually tell, but that's what it looked like to me.

Jaylie placed her palm on my forehead trying to feel my temperature. She immediately pulled her hand back with a worried look. "You feel cold, really cold. Unusual, but I dont think you're sick.."

"Yes! Quite unusual, birthday girl. I can just feel the cold, icy breeze hanging around you!" The bunny spoke up his voice higher this time.

I furrowed my eyebrows confusedly. What did he mean exactly? Cold, icy breeze? I tried to pay it no mind because it had to be a simple joke.

"Oh look!" Karson yelled suddenly. "Freddy, Bonnie, and Chica stopped singing!" It might've seemed he was excited for this but I knew he wasn't. In fact, he disliked the animatronics and that's probably why he didn't say anything to the bunny. "Hopefully they don't go around taking kids and eating them." He deadpanned.

"Eating children? Why would you think they did that?" The bunny questioned.

"You don't have to play dumb, bunny man, I heard the rumours, I know about The Bite of 87! I'm not dumb, they're real. They happened. I might not be able to prove it, but I have a feeling." I believed there was something going on with this place, but I didn't know if I believed in those superstitions Karson was talking about.

"Well then! I'm here to tell you they aren't real, believe them all you want; children's imagination run wild, but as I said...that the rumours are all fake."

"Suree." Karson glared.

"Kars! Knock it off!" Jaylie said with disappointment.

"Sorry."

"I think I'm alright now, we can go have fun now." I informed before standing up fully. I shook my head to try clearing my mind and my eyes decided to land on the bunny once again.

This guy wasn't someone safe to be around. I could just tell.
