"Gallant"

I stared at his hand that was over mine. I didn't know what to say. I was perplexed by his question.
"Will you trust me?"
Trust. Trust him? Why exactly would he even ask that? Just the way he said it. . . The unnerving feeling already had came crashing down on me unexpectedly and without thinking I whipped my hand out from under his. "W-What?" I said.
He opened his mouth to speak, but was interrupted. "You okay, big sis?" asked Karson.
"Sure am," I reassured, but really, was I? I didn't know exactly.
"Are you paranoid about this place too?" He whispered to me, obviously so Max and Jaylie wouldn't hear. I almost laughed, but to avail I didn't. I wanted to say yes, but instead I shrugged. His mouth was left agape for a moment then he glared at me.
I didn't even know what I did.
Glitchtrap tapped my shoulder lightly to get my attention. I had the urge to ignore him, but I didn't. I hesitantly looked beside me. "You didn't answer my question..[F/N]. . ." I didn't understand how no one else could see how creepy this guy was, and it was like they didn't hear a word he was saying to me. I guessed they were all to caught up in their own conversation to even pay attention to me, THE one who should be getting the attention by the way. Well, not from Glitchtrap..
"O-Oh, sorry.." I responded. Once again, I didn't respond, or well I was thinking on how to respond. It was such a random question. "I guess?" I could only muster up.
"Great!" He beamed. "Now, I'd like you to help me with something.. Something important! The little girl you helped, I really wanna show her something cool! But her mom is ruining it, so I need you to distract her for me!"
Immediately I knew there was something totally off about his request. The aura he gave off whilst speaking alarmed me. I somewhat glared suspiciously before looking around the room for the small child and her mother. They were minding there own business.
I hesitantly looked back to Glitchtrap. "What do you w-want to show her exactly?" I asked quietly.
"I said it was a surprise!" He answered.
"A surprise? What y'all talking about?" Karson interrupted casually. I watched Glitchtrap glance at the little girl with her mother as the smile of his "costume" stretched more so than before. I wasn't so sure I made the right response. My gut told me not to trust this guy.
"Nothing, Kars." I responded in a whisper. I was focusing more on my thoughts then anything else. I had suddenly started trembling violently, dropping my pizza on the paper plate in the process. "It's nothing.." I mouthed.
"[F/N]? What's the matter? Are you okay?" Max asked worriedly. I nodded slowly without a second thought. I honestly didn't know why this had such a big affect on me, but this place wasn't normal.
"[F/N!?" Jaylie's hands grasped my shoulders and shook me violently. "Snap out of it!"
I blinked repeatedly. "A-ah, sorry." I
mumbled whilst looking down at my still trembling hands."You've been acting strange since you got here. If there is something wrong you can tell us," said Jaylie.
I stood up, glanced at Glitchtrap and then looked to the floor. "I'll be back." Glitchtrap stood up as well, and followed me. It felt like I wasn't moving on my own, but I knew I was. I put on a genuine smile and walked over to the mother and child I had met some moments ago.
"Hello again!" I beamed brightly.
"Big sissy! Hai!" The little girl embraced my legs tightly with an innocent grin. I pet the top of her head lightly and made eye contact with her mother.
"Hello dear." She greeted.
"Hello!"
Glitchtrap stood almost behind me slowly getting the little girls attention. She let go of my leg and slowly walked over to him as I spoke to her mother. I didn't feel good, not at all, but oddly enough I couldn't stop myself. I continued to talk to her mother like I hadn't had any doubt he'd do something terrible to the little girl.
The mother didn't notice him luring her child away and for a moment I forgot about it all together.
"That's amazing, ma'am." I complimented the designer bag she had told me her oldest daughter had made. I wasn't really paying any attention to it though.
"I know right and Aver-" Her eyes widened, "Where is Avery!?" She honestly wasn't a good parent to lose her child again, but I couldn't say anything.. "She's gone!" She panicked. She forgot I was even there and started to yell for her.
Why was I talking to her in the first place?
