"Gallant"

"Why didn't you tell them?" Karson asked me quietly as we (including Max and Jaylie) walked out of the dreadful Pizzeria that I never wanted to go in again. Unfortunately for me this would not be the last time I'd be here. I stopped in my tracks and paused. Of course he'd ask that. Karson wouldn't let this go. He was very curious.
"I'm not making a promise, but I'll talk to you about it later, Karson. Just don't say anything to Max and Jaylie like you've been doing already." I told him in the same tone as his.
He seemed to understand because he didn't press any further. Luckily for me. "Well, I guess this is farewell for now." I said smiling grimly. I had this uneasy feeling that being alone after this wasn't a good thing. I brushed the feeling off though.
"Karson and I will visit soon, we swear it." Max replied. Karson gave a nod in response. "I will too." Jaylie said quickly.
"I know." I responded before waving them a goodbye and going my seperate way. Pressing my lips together, I opened my car door, sat down and stared out into the driveway for a few moments in thought. I huffed lightly.
"Avery, I'm sorry.."
My eyes began to water at the thought of what could have happened to her. I placed my hands on the steering wheel and leaned my head onto it. "I'm definitely not sleeping tonight. . ."
I let out a exaggerated breath as I sat upon my sofa. Every light was out, and the only light source was my TV. I was cuddled up under two blankets, because of the unusual coldness in the area as I stared into it.
I couldn't stop worrying about Avery. I couldn't stop feeling so guilty.
But even so I couldn't get myself to make the decision to look for her, to tell someone. It was just like the times before were I couldn't control myself. It scared me. I was scared.
I almost laughed. Avery was probably scared, more scared then I was.
"I can't take this!" I yelled, bawling up my fists in anger. I wasn't going to allow myself to be devoured by fear and guilt. I was going to go back.
I was going to find Avery. I had to. I needed to.
Any logical person would probably wait for the morning, but I probably wouldn't find anything with all those people there.
So,
I stood up, the blanket falling down on the floor and I made my way upstairs. "I'm doing this... I'm doing this. . .!" I mumbled to myself repeatedly. I walked into my room and pulled out something to wear since I wasn't going to go in pajamas.
"I'll find you, Avery."
I took a deep breath. The place looked all the more dreadful then in the daylight. I shakily placed my hand on the handle of the door before something hit me. "Wait, why would it be unlocked?" I mentally facepalmed at my stupidity, but I guessed it was worth a try. You never now, it could actually b-
The door opened. In slight shocked I backed up. "What. . .? It really wasn't locked?" I let out another deep breath and gulped. I hesitantly walked into the building. Immediately I noticed all the animatronics shut down. Well, obviously they'd be shut down.
They looked more frightening in the dark sending shivers down my spine. "Okay! Don't get distracted, [F/N]." I told myself.
I turned away from the stage and made my way to the room I remembered Glitchtrap brought Avery in according to Karson, but I was suddenly stopped. Almost walking past the security office, I immediately noticed someone in there. The door was open and the guy with eyes widened stared at me for a moment.
"How the hell did you get in here!" He asked and quickly grabbed my wrist and pulled me in the office. "You shouldn't be here!"
"I-. . ." I paused for a moment. "I know that, but.." I was interrupted.
"Do you know how dangerous this place is at night! You could get yourself kill-" Heavy footsteps were heard from the left door. He pushed a bottom near the door, closing it. "Close one.." He mumbled.
"What was that?" I asked quietly.
"Look yourself." Is all he replied with before turning on the light. It was an animatronic. My eyes widened in fear.
"S-should it be moving? Why is it moving!?" I started to freak out. "Were they not shut down!?"
"Calm down, breath." He ignored my questions. "I need to ask you a few questions, but I'll wait until you calm down."
What the hell was going on. . .?
