11 - Twins

Lan Zhan got worried when Wei Ying did not reply him. Was Wei Ying mad? Upset? Disappointed in him? Lan Zhan peeked over to see that Wei Ying has fallen asleep and sighed.

Lan Zhan transferred some spiritual energy to Wei Ying, hoping that it will help him while thinking about how to say what he said in front of Wei Ying's face.

The next day, Lan Zhan called for a meeting with Wei Ying, his uncle, his brother, and the doctor. Lan Zhan faced the doctor "Is it possible to not have the child?"

The doctor was surprised but immediately replied "Yes! There are certain food that results in miscarriage which I told you to make sure Young Master Wei avoids eating"

Wei Ying's face turned black and he glared at Lan Zhan "Lan Zhan, what are you saying?!"

"We're not having the child." Lan Zhan replied with his expressionless face but Wei Ying, Lan XiChen and Lan QiRen could tell that the sentence he just said hurt him more than anyone.

"We are!" Wei Ying immediately shot back, looking at Lan Zhan.

"We're not." Lan Zhan replied coldly.

"I said we are!" Wei Ying said back.

Both of them stared at each other with determination on their stands. The other people inside the room were nervous but it wasn't their place to interfere.

"Lan Zhan, you think I'm weak right? You think I'm not strong enough to give birth to your child?" Wei Ying shouted.

Lan Zhan stepped closer "Wei Ying! It's true that you don't have enough inner energy and there is no way to get it!"

The doctor stepped in and squeaked "Sorry Young Master Wei but for your health, it is indeed advisable to forgo the child"

Wei Ying kept silent a little "So what if I still want the child?"

The doctor bowed his head "It's your decision but it is very risky and in the worst case... the two of you might not make it"

Wei Ying was stunned but he put on his stong cover "Okay, I'm still keeping the child"

"Wei Ying, no!" Lan Zhan immediately said.

"They're in my body. I say yes!" Wei Ying replied.

... There was a moment of silence.

"Wei Ying" Lan Zhan said with a painful expression "You know I want you more than anything. I'm not letting you risk it."

"Lan Zhan, I..." Wei Ying said, just to get interrupted by Lan Zhan. "Wei Ying. I can't do anything without you. I'm not letting anyone or anything take you away from me. I really can't let you risk it. You know how much I love you. If you're not here, I won't want to be either."

That last sentence made Wei Ying speechless. Lan XiChen sighed as Lan Zhan stormed out of the hall. Wei Ying felt greatly upset that Lan Zhan left just like that.

Didn't he care about Wei Ying's choices? Wei Ying knows Lan Zhan loves him but if Lan Zhan wants him to get rid of the child, must he follow? Can't Lan Zhan listen to Wei Ying's choices too?

Lan QiRen also shook his head as he saw how lifeless and undisciplined and irresponsible Lan Zhan acted after he first lost Wei Ying (through WuJi as shown in Changing The Future Story).

The only reason why Lan Zhan lived on was because there was a possibility that Wei Ying didn't die since his body wasn't found. And since he couldn't find Wei Ying's soul, maybe Wei Ying is still alive somewhere.

Wei Ying sat down, feeling a little light headed. XiChen immediately went over to help him. "Brother-in-law, I think WangJi has a point. If losing the baby can ensure that you will stay alive, WangJi would definitely choose that"

"I know" Wei Ying whispered "But I want to birth a child who's father is Lan Zhan"

Lan Zhan who came back because he was worried about Wei Ying stood by the door and heard it.

Lan QiRen did not know what to do. "Rest" He said before leaving the hall. XiChen pat Wei Ying's back "In the worst case scenario, the one left brokenhearted will be WangJi"

Wei Ying realised that and it broke his heart. "What should I do?" Wei Ying asked, looking at XiChen.

XiChen smiled and pat his head "Talk to WangJi, your should decide on this matter together"

Wei Ying nodded then pouted "Brother-in-law, I'm not a kid. You've been treating me like a kid since I became pregnant"

XiChen chuckled "Because you're WangJi's love and my love's precious brother"

"Not because I'm a nice person?" Wei Ying joked and XiChen chuckled then whispered "If WangJi hears me saying that, he will be jealous"

Wei Ying smiled and XiChen straightened himself "Come, I'll bring you back to JingShi"

"I will" Lan Zhan stepped into the hall. He had been dripping with jealousy at the door. XiChen saw Lan Zhan's expression and could feel 3 lines on his head •.•||| -.-|||

XiChen excused himself and Wei Ying pouted. Lan Zhan sat beside Wei Ying "I'll bring you back to JingShi"

Wei Ying turned his head with a hmphed and Lan Zhan kissed his cheek "Sorry for stomping off"

Wei Ying turned back to Lan Zhan with a glare "Promise you won't leave like that again!" Lan Zhan gave a smile and hugged Wei Ying "I promise"

Wei Ying then stretched his hands out "Carry me, I'm too lazy to get up" Lan Zhan smiled and picked Wei Ying up bridal style, then gave him pecks all over his face while walking back to JingShi.

The both of them didn't bring up the topic yet but knew that they had to soon.

In the evening, Wen Qing visited them as BaoShan SanRen wanted to hear their news. Wen Qing then checked Wei Ying's pulse. She figured another reason for Wei Ying's inner energy depleting rapidly.

"Wei WuXian, you're carrying twins" Wen Qing said with a slight smile.
